Summary: Some Good Romance Stories in This Book!
Review: A Mother's Joy is another good collection of Regency Romance stories from several different writers. Lord Chartley's Lesson is written by Jo Ann Ferguson. Randall Montgomery, Lord Chartley who leads an orderly life is not pleased at the idea of having to share guardianship of his six year old ward with vivacious Lily Armstrong but the funloving Lily teaches the uptight Lord Chartley a lesson about life and love and this is a great story and is my favorite romance in this book The Dower House is written by Carola Dunne. Sir Gideon March and his cousin Harry Talgarth move into a nearby estate and widowed Lady Catriona scemes to get Gideon to fall in love with her daughter Letty who is also a widow and has two small children but her plans go topsy turvy when Gideon falls for her instead and Harry with Letty. The Dower House is a great story and my second favorite romance in this book. The Present is written by Cindy Holbrook and is a great story and my third favorite romance in this book. In this story three orphaned children being raised by their older half sister Shannon want her to be their real mother and set out to find her a husband and a father for them the man they have in mind is Alex Tremaine, the ninth Duke of Trenton and they trick him and capture him in a trap and bring him home to the unsupecting and embarrassed Shannon. Alex at first thinks that Shannon knew all about it and was just another female trying to snare him into marriage but soon learns that Shanon just may be the right woman to be his wife. A Change of Heart is written by Lynn Kerstan and I felt like the beginning of the story was missing something as though it was missing some details or that when they printed this book some pages were left out. Basically the story seems to be about Philip and his pregnant wife Elaine and her mood swings and their marital problems and I couldn't really get into this story mainly because it just seemed like smething was missing and it was kind of abrupt. Christening Day is written by Joy Reed and in this one Elizabeth has just recently had a baby and regained her figure and she is trying to regain her husbands attentions. The Betting Affair is written by Marissa Edwards. And in this story Lord Gordon Massey and his bride Jessica plan on showing the ton that they are the perfect happy couple, that is until she declares him an insensitive cad and he declares her to be an unbearable shrew and then the members of the ton take wagers on if their marriage will survive.
