Rating: Summary: OPEN THE DOOR AND LET BRENDA M. HAMPTON IN!! Review: My Best Friend's Man has definitely given Brenda M. Hampton a voice in the literary world. Sylvia McMillan and Jonathan Taylor find themselves in a difficult and awkward situation. Having feelings for one another, every obstacle that can stand in the way of them being together will. Jonathan's deep love for his wife, Dana, and she being Sylvia's best friend, quickly shakes-up everybody's world. When Jonathan finds out that he's got a deceitful, conniving and cheating wife, he over steps his boundaries and turns to her best friend for comfort. Sylvia's willingness to be there for him, and her loss of respect for her cheating friend, allows her to fall head over hills for him. Eventually, he's torn between the two and is faced with a situation that many men face today. Will he have the courage to do the right thing, or will his decision have you shaking your head while saying: it's a shame it had to be that way.Reviewers, thanks so much for the tear jerking reviews and emails. Even for the one(s) whose hearts I've not touched through writing this novel, I thank God for you and for the majority who are pleased. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and Brenda M. Hampton is not in the writing business to please every person who reads my books. I do, however, want to extend a heart warming thanks to those who continue to support my writing and believe, as I do, that I'm here to stay. God Bless You ALL! Brenda M. Hampton, Author of: Two's Enough Three's A Crowd, My Way Or No Way, How Can I Be Down?, & My Best Friend's Man www.brendamhampton.com
Rating: Summary: I'm going crazy talking to Miss Hampton's books Review: Never, ever, have I been so wrapped up into books like these. Have you ever talked to a book, laughed at what was said, cursed the characters out, attempted to snatch them out of the pages, pictured yourself right there with them and lost countless hours of sleep trying to finish it? Well, I did. I felt as if I was going crazy talking to these people who just couldn't get it together. Even though I liked Sylvia, what was wrong with her thinking it was okay to take her best friend's man? He did have it going on, but messing with your friend's man is a no no. I was tearful at the end because I wanted Jonathan to find happiness. Then again, maybe he did because he sure wasn't going to get it with Sylvia or Dana. Foolishly, after I spent my entire Saturday reading this book, I started Miss Hampton's Two's Enough Three's A Crowd at almost midnight. LORD HAVE MERCY ON ME!! I woke my husband up after clowning so badly with this one. I'd already ignored him by being consumed with My Best Friend's Man, so I crept into the other bedroom to finish Two's Company. That wasn't until almost eight this morning, and now, I'm on Amazon getting ready to order the sequel to this book. I had to quickly write a review because this author is the best. I love EJD, Zane, and Michael Baisden, but...these books are the BOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMB! I'm a fan forever, even when I have to commit myself for going crazy while reading them. My husband seems to also think so...but wait until I get him to read them. I'm sure I'll get the same reaction...you just cant help yourself.
