Summary: At last! Jude Deveraux returns to historical romance!
Review: As much as I enjoy time travel or paranormal romances (if you haven't read _A Knight in Shining Armor_ or _Remembrance_, do so ASAP!), I'm so glad to see Jude Deveraux return to what, in my opinion, she does best...historical romances! _Temptation_ is WONDERFUL, with a great heroine who is far more modern than the early 1900's time period would suggest. If I had to pick one thing that I would have changed, I'd say the ending was a bit too brief, but nevertheless it was still satisfying and ultimately true to the characters. No matter, I remain a huge Deveraux fan, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this book! One more thought: I definitely agree with one of the previous reviewers who called for a book about Ramsey and Alys...they certainly deserve their own story!

Summary: Enjoyable Story
Review: I enjoyed this book. I think I can agree that there weren't as many truly romantic scenes, but I disagree with those that feel that the book totally lacked romance. What it works out to is a happy medium in the romance department and an all-around good read.

Temperance is a great leading female character and for once I was happy with a heroine's reaction to her hero's past (current?) lover. James will not win an award for best hero, but Temperance more than makes up for his shortcomings.

If you're a fan of Jude Deveraux, you will enjoy this book.

Summary: TEMPTATION ..to throw it out in the trash..
Review: My first Jude Deveraux was A Knight in Shining Armor, and I loved it. Then comes The Mulberry Tree, and thought the story had a great plot. Temptation, however, was a disaster. I found the heroine to be an obnoxious brat, and the hero completely shallow. After reading a third of the book, no solid story plot could be found. Its hard to even continue with the story without finding the heroine annoying and irritating. This book has definately tainted me from reading anymore Jude Deveraux books.
