Summary: the fascinating conclusion to a magical trilogy
Review: Courtesy of Love Romances

Lady Avallyn le Severn, Priestess of the Bones and Princess of the White Palace, has spent her entire 125 years of life awaiting the fulfillment of a sacred prophecy that will save the Earth from an ancient and deadly curse. Dharkkum is the great living darkness which consumes all it comes in contact with, leaving nothing but desolation behind. She is supposed to combine her powers and abilities with those of the foretold Prince of Time. They will set out together on a dangerous journey to defeat their greatest enemy once and for all. Her mission is to rescue a magical book from the Lost Five, great and powerful warriors who became trapped in the last great battle. They sacrificed themselves to save the world, 10000 years ago in 12th century Wales.

Morgan ab Kynan is a washed out drunken thief, who comes from a long ago age, thrust forward in time by an accident of fate. But was it really an accident? Or was it predestined? He arrives in a time and place unlike everything he knows, yet eerily familiar. He is permanently scarred, both mentally and physically, from his last battle with Dharkkum, in ancient Wales. During the battle he was thrust into the time weir, created by the great golden worms, guardians of time. He was cast forward in time, surviving terror and wounds he thought were the end of him. His only thoughts are to escape living nightmare only he can see.

Now he must take his place alongside Avallyn, so they can meet their destiny.

When first they meet, Avallyn is horrified at the man fate has chosen to defeat the evil Dharkkum. Yet she is inexplicably drawn to Morgan all the same. She must help him overcome his weaknesses and his fears so they can fulfill their destiny. They join forces in preparation for their journey to the distant past and put an end to the great darkness and nightmare. Their goals are tested by a cruel villain from Morgan's past, who is partially consumed and twisted by the very curse they are out to destroy. He will stop at nothing, and will even follow them through time, to get what he desires; an end to his living death and Avallyn.

Morgan and Avallyn are joined by a motley group of friends, which include a young warrior boy, an ancient priestess, a powerful mage, some mysterious shapeshifters and fellow timeriders, and a few of the Fae folk. There is even a pair of legendary dragons, the only creatures who can destroy Dharkkum for all eternity. Join Morgan and Avallyn on their travels through time and their journey to an eternal love.

Ms. McReynolds has spun a magical tale, a worthy conclusion to her trilogy. Once again, she does not disappoint. This is a beautiful tale of destiny and love intertwined, and its ability to conquer all, even time itself. She weaves a tale combining enchanting characters, who firmly entrench themselves in the reader's heart, with a fanciful plot and some shocking twists. This reviewer would have liked to see the actual journey through time play a bigger role in the story however. The story focused more on the attempt to make it to the time weir than the actual timeriding of the characters. Especially considering the name of the book. The journey through time almost seems just tacked on to the end.

Past characters also make several appearances in this book, mainly through flashbacks. All in all, an entirely compelling read, the only big disappointment being that this is the end of the story. This reviewer certainly hopes Ms. McReynolds will write more fantasy romances like this one.

Summary: A PLEASANT SURPRISE
Review: Hnmmmm, for what ever reason the wonderful PRINCE OF TIME has lost it's dreamy romantic cover with it's just right models. Don't know why it was changed, I loved the original cover. Still, I want to assure everyone it is still the same romantic, unique, action packed story.

Let's take a minute to look at the new cover. We have a hunk who is handsome without looking as though he could lift a horse.(Can't stand those horse lifters!) :) There is that wonderful Claymore hanging on his back, those manly wrist bands! Even with the country western shag, this is a hero to be reckoned with!

What waits for Morgan at the top of the stairs? Are those mists tranquil, or malevolent? Do those creeping, twisting vines protect Morgan, or the Hart Tower itself?

Where is the lovely Avallyn? Does she wait for rescue in this egnigmatic tower, or is she occupied with her own adventure? Perhaps she is right behind as a brave and resourceful back-up.Ready to face the dreadful evil forces that threaten her world, and her beloved.

Climb those tower steps with Morgan. There is a fantastic love story waiting for you chock full of romance and adventure, and wonderfully imaginative characters.Take the extra moment to find this special paper back with it's intriguing new cover. PRINCE OF TIME is definitly worth a second look. This size fits so well in a purse or bookbag too.:) Don't miss wonderful Glenna McReynolds'wonderful PRINCE OF TIME!

Summary: GREAT! SENSUAL - Very Romantic with a good story!
Review: I can't believe previous reviewers said this was not romantic or great. I was spell-bound throughout the whole book. This is an intelligent author that writes fascinating detail and storylines -- and it was a true romance. I have read hundreds of romance books and this is one of those very rare treasures that I am keeping. The 3rd in a series, I liked it best of all three.

Summary: Save your money and time. A cereal box is more interesting.
Review: I haven't read a book this bad in 10 years. The writer is more in love were here own meanderings than she is with the plot. The suppossed romance is a farce but so is every character the writer tries to create. It is books like these that make you wish publishers offered a money back guarantee. I simply can't imagine how this thing got to print and those people who rated this book 5 stars, must be pseudonyms or friends of the author (but I can't even see a friend risking their neck on approving this garbage).

Summary: Really should not be classified a Romance
Review: I picked this up in the library under the romance category. I had three problems with the book.

1. the author is in love with Welsh spelling, a reader cannot pronounce half the names. Given, I wasn't reading aloud, but it is still annoying.

2. I picked up the last book in a series, which I was able to still read and follow the plot, I just wish I had more of an idea as to what already happened.

3. This isn't a romance. I would categorize this more as a fantasy book. Anne McCaffery, Marion Zimmer Bradley and others write similar genre and they are not considered romance just because the two main characters hook up in the end.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and became wrapped up in the story, but anyone who thinks this is one of those time travel romance books should know that it is not what would typically be considered romance. They should consider it sci-fi/fantasy.

Summary: Magicical, romantic, fantastic book!
Review: I was entranced by THE CHALICE AND THE BLADE, the first book in Glenna McReynold's extraordinary trilogy. Imagine my shock when one of my favorite characters, the dashing and engaging Welsh Prince, Morgan ab Kynan, was killed off in a particularily horrific manner! Or was he?

So often, when a writer does a trilogy, at least one book falls short. I am happy to say that Glenna McReynolds started out beautifully, and only surpasses herself with each book in this oh so carefully thought out and beautifully written trio. You can enjoy each story on it's own, but do yourself a favor and get the whole trilogy. For those of us who have been with these characters from the beginning, PRINCE OF TIME is a truly rich and rewarding finale!

Glenna McReynolds is an extremely gifted author. She takes us from the green mists of Medieval Wales to a world of the future where few have ever seen a living tree. It takes real talent to time travel convincingly. You can feel the heat of the desert, and smell the fresh wind of Wales here.

Morgan ab Kynan, a displaced warrior prince, makes his way by thievery and deception. Tortured by dreams of a past he cannot reach, he drowns his pain with wine. At his side is Aja, a boy whose life he saved, whose loyalty is unshakable.

Into their troubled lives comes Princess Avallyn, who has her own agenda.Though reluctant, Morgan and Avallyn must depend on each other. In the course of their adventures, they find the love both had thought impossible.Their destiny is to save the world, but will their love be enough to save each other?

This is as an exciting, fast paced, action packed book as you are likely to find. Lushly romantic, with the lyrical prose that McReynolds does so well, it is truly outstanding!

All the characters in this book are exceptional. Wizards, warriors, thieves, or princesses, each is memorable. "Dharkkum" is one of the creepiest, most malovolent, most imaginative, "bad guys" I've ever read. Hands and feet will definitely stay under the covers!

This is just a gorgeous book! It made me smile and shed a few tears. Also made my heart beat faster. What more can we expect?

Congratulations, and a great big thank you to Glenna McReynolds for this creative, fantastic book!

PRINCE OF TIME has a colorful dreamily romantic cover. Happily, the models for this lovely cover look just the way the characters are described. A big plus for this reader.

Give yourself an early Christmas present and take the PRINCE OF TIME home for the Holidays. It is not to be missed!

Summary: Supeb romantic fantasy
Review: To survive in this world that is almost a thousand years ahead of his birth year, accidental time traveler Morgan ab Kynan turns to thievery. In this highly advanced Technological environment, Morgan is quite good at his chosen occupation, which allows him to more than survive. He leads a small gang of felons.

However, his latest booty, a statue of a golden dragon brings Morgan to the attention of the wrong type of people for a thief in the night. Covus Gei, the deadly warmonger wants to kill Morgan because he believes the criminal is his enemy, the PRINCE OF TIME. The White Ladies of Death give chase too because they feel Morgan is their prophecy fulfilled after a ten-millennium wait. One of the White Ladies, a Priestess of the Bones, Avallon Le Severn, finds Morgan first. It shocks them both to find they are instantly attracted to one another. They must flee from the Warmonger who chases them into a wormhole back to his former time in Wales to hopefully fulfill his destiny.

PRINCE OF TIME is an exciting, non-stop blending of elements of romance and fantasy into a powerful tale that is more than the sum of its' parts. The story line in the future is cleverly designed to make Morgan a rogue struggling with his displacement. The return to the past is filled with action although Avallon, a powerful player in the future, all but vanishes from the screen. Still, Glenna McReynolds provides a wild ride that will please fans of all genres as she triumphantly completes her Celtic trilogy (see THE CHALICE AND THE BLADE and DREAM STONE).

Summary: GREAT! SENSUAL - Very Romantic with a good story!
Review: Yes, indeed, Prince of Time is 3rd in a series of novels that begins with The Chalice and the Blade, and continues wth Dream Stone. Reading the Prince of Time without reading the other two novels would be like wading through mud. McReynolds is very good at characterizations--even for minor characters. Her plotting is a bit loose-feeling mid-text, but comes together. Vocabulary, for those who have already got limited abilities, or who have no familiarity with Gaelic/Welsh/Old English/Norse will be daunting. (Skraeling? Jacinth? Weir?) If you commonly read very simple romances, skip these; if you sometimes read fantasy or science fiction, as well as romance you might very well like this series. I normally refuse to finish poorly-written books, but I read all 3 of these, so perhaps that's a good review in itself!
