Summary: Do it His Way or Else
Review: Beth is nineteen and working in a London bookshop. True she's living in a cheap flat. True her boss is a witch, no an ogre and true she's not very happy. But that didn't give Frenchman Gaetan Vernais the right to come to her place of work, to tell her boss that she was finished there, to force her to move to Paris if she wants her inheritance. You see, though legally an adult, the terms of her uncle's will are that she minds her P's and Q's till she's twenty-one or she doesn't see a dime till she's thirty-five. She'd been getting a small allowance, but when she wouldn't heel like a good girl, Monsieur Vernais stopped it.

So, why, when she's is so put off by his do-it-my-way-or-else attitude, does she find him so darned appealing. Go figure.

Okay, so he was a little pushy, I still liked Gaetan Vernais and can understand why our likable heroine did too. However the writing was just a bit stilted for me. Four stars.
