Review: I usually don't read a whole lot of romance novels, simply because the plots sometimes tend to become monatonous. Vanessa James' Prisoner far surpassed any of my expectations. The two main characters are Raphael-a weathly and of course handsome Italian- and Julia- a beautiful English girl who works as a mentor for Christina, a rich and spoiled Italian girl. The plot takes off as Julia is suddenly kidnapped and taken prisoner by Raphael, in a devious scheme concocted by the wealthiest familys in Italy. I can't tell much more without giving away the book, but I will say this-- THIS IS ONE BOOK YOU HAVE TO READ!!!!!! It is simply the best. I gave my copy to my best friend and she agreed that it was the best romance novel she had ever read. Prisoner is so interesting and will keep you hooked from beginning to end. The story line is so incredible-it should be made into a movie! Please pick up this book-you will not regret it!!!!
