Review: Let me catch my breath and I'll tell you all about The Color of Revenge. I really admire this writer. The boldness that she displays in the love scenes is magnificent. I hate it when people say, "I'd rather use my imagination." Well, I'd rather read Ms. Hart's. What a storyteller. There are several different plots going on in this book, but she successfully manages to keep them separate yet entertwined at the same time. In other words, you don't get confused. The characters are great! And I loved the way she described everything right down to the smallest bit of information. I like to know what the character's home looks like, I like to feel their success. If she hadn't ended this with an epilogue I think I would have called for an uprising. Thanks, Ms. Hart, for a great read. I'm eagerly awaiting your next release.

Summary: When's the next book coming out?
Review: Okay, first let me say, "This book was phenomenal." Now, when is her next book coming out? I hope Millicent Hart isn't one of those writers that comes out with a book only once a year - just to tease us - she's got to be kidding. How can she expect her fans to wait that long? The Color of Revenge explores every avenue of what a romance novel is supposed to be. I have never been so glued to the pages as I have been with this book. Her writing style is quite unique in the fact that most of the book is filled with dialogue - that was one of my favorite things about this book. Also, she goes into great depth when describing or explaining things and situations, feelings, etc. I enjoyed being let in on all the little secrets (she only lets you think that you are)and the characters are so believable. Seth and Maggie are the ultimate in "hero and heroine", and you can only dream about living their lives through Ms. Hart's writing. I hope this writer continues to write and come out with innovating storylines such as this one. I'm looking forward to reading her next novel, Loving Kate; but I want her to get on with it, already. Hurry up, Ms. Hart, you fans are getting restless.

Summary: Not a typical "cookie-cutter" romance.
Review: THE COLOR OF REVENGE is not one of your typical storylines - it's totally different in the the fact that there are so many characters - and you get to know each and every one of them intimately. I loved that. The story was a difficult one to tell, but the author managed to do it beautifully. It's the story of a man that loses his wife and child in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. But there's more to the story - and the writer builds and builds until you know everything - or you think you do. Basically, it's about forgiveness. Your are faced with the irony of what possessed the drunk driver and it really hits home for Seth, the hero. Maggie's (the herioine) story is also a little different in the fact that she deals with psychological demons that still haunt her from her childhoold. This only adds to the complex storyline. When the two meet, it's like lightening striking. They go on an adventure some of us only dream about. Wealth, tragedy, love - it's all there. It's a long book, but it is well worth the time to read it. Once you start you can't seem to put it down. I will add that it does have explicit lovemaking, but I found it very tastefully done.

Summary: Simply irresistable - a delight from beginning to end!
Review: This is an incredible story of ironic circumstances that throw two people, who desperately need love in their lives, together. The characters are so believable and the storyline is so well written. I was swept away on a journey to which I thought there would be no end. Even as I began to cheer - the writer would pull me into another dimension - never allowing the lovers to come completely together until she was ready for them to. I loved this book. Even though, at times, I felt I was being set up for the "kill", the writer still was able to keep me focused and turning the pages only to be surprised when it wasn't what I thought it would be. I can't wait to read another book by this author. Extremely well written. This was the best book I've read this summer. To me, nothing else can compete with The Color of Revenge.

Review: This was one of the most unusual storylines I've ever read in a contemporary romance. I do agree with some of the negative reviews, but not totally. If you get into the story, you will see that Seth, the male lead, is not the ruthless and cruel man that he hides behind. And Maggie, the heroine, is strong when she needs to be, but yet still vulnerable when it comes to love. This book has some pretty intense love scenes (written very well, I might add) and there was a lot of suspense along with a great cast of characters. If you are looking for something a little different, this is it.

Review: You're getting much more than you might expect when you select this book. Romance, suspense, surprises, humor, and sex, all presented in a fast-paced, can't-put-down style. Descriptive without wasting words (and the reader's time) with memorable scenes and characters that will have you going back for more after you finish . I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.
