Summary: Computers, coffee and dreams.
Review: Cappuccino in the Winter is a light Romantic mystery about
computer espionage set in the icy plains of Minnesota.
Alayna Alexander has two goals; to become a top computer-
security expert and to have a family, and she will marry
at any cost. She's engaged to a man she does not love,
but love is not the issue, marriage and a family is what
she wants.

Her company has received the coveted position as the
designated financial agent for USE-TAX, United States
Electronic Tax System, and they are getting a lot of
heat from Washington. They must create a secure
environment for the federal reserve.

Though Alayna has worked dedicated months on this
project, management brings in computer whiz Khavon
Brighton to head it. There is an all out war to
capture a banking industry cyber-thief. Their
investigation takes them from Minnesota to Amsterdam.
Somehow amidst all the entanglement of cyberspace,
computer hackers and international banking, Alayna
and Khavon find themselves wanting more than chips
and bytes.

Ms. Rose has written an intriguing story with crafty
sleuths. There is an interesting twist that tied the
characters together in a surprising way. This was a
captivating journey into cyberspace.

Summary: Because I Care.
Review: CAPPUCCINO was excellent! I expected romance. There was much more to it than that. It was romantic, thrilling, exciting, intriguing. I want to 'meet ' the characters. In many ways, I found myself relating to different aspects of the characters' lives.

Summary: Suspense
Review: I found the characters (Alayna&Khavon) to be so real. The book held my attention from beginning to end. I enjoyed the fact the she was an educated successful woman even though she had a rough childhood. I believe many women can relate to what Alyana is feeling about marriage. Life is full of suprises and so is this book! It is definetly a winner. The romance scenes are the ones you only think about when you are with that special person! I can't wait for the next book...

Summary: Excellent work! Computer professionals do have emotions.
Review: It is a general impression that computer professional work in dark closed rooms. They have a heart of steel and electric pulses pump out blood or electricity in their bodies. They live in super-natural reality and can create a world of matrix - what ever they like or want to be. This is a story of such a computer professional, but far different from the above assumptions, who is no different from any one of us - non-technical, very much alive with emotions and desires, a passion for life - which is much more beautiful with the colors of love, affection, have bounds of family, social threads and norms of society.

An excellent presentation! Valerie's expression of the emotions and love is excellent. Very much live, like the characters in this novel. Looking forward and waiting for her next work in the market.

Summary: Magnificently Awesome!
Review: Most romance novels tend to be too dreamy, with a slow beginning. But this novel is very realistic . It has characters and a plot that many women (especially in technical fields) can relate to. The story is so well put together that the romance becomes the icing on the cake. If you enjoy suspense and a mix of passion with an ultimate happy ending, then you will enjoy this book!

Summary: My first time!
Review: What a great job! This was my first romance novel. I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. I couldn't put it down some nights just waiting for Khavon and Alayna to get together. The characters were very real to me. The writing was very easy to read and the length of the novel was just right. I can't wait to read Valerie Rose's next novel because this one was a real winner! You go girl! .
