Rating: Summary: Funny Love Story ! Review: Can't wait to read more by Jeffrey Landry. The characters came alive in the book and I was drawn into the drama from the beginning. Funny and much more!
Rating: Summary: a MUST for every well rounded bookshelf...and FUNNY! Review: i have been reading this book for 3 days now..unfortunately i am often forced to put it down! the plot is imaginative and the action quite compelling always giving the reader multiple levels of interest. there are a meryad of interesting and believable characters and GOD IS SINATRA! even the most jaded reader has to admit that the ratpack as heavenly beings is a good move. another interesting and endearing feature of this book is the popular culture refrences. one must not always know the source of such refrences to understand the plot but they do certainly add a further depth to the humor and charm of this book. It is evident in reading this book that the author is deepley dedicated to the ideal of true love. courtly love. not danielle steele mushy over the edge lust and sappy love but real, down to earth(or is it heavenly?) love. that for which every human seems to spend his/her life searching. well here you can read about one human who manages to find that love and share in his rollicking (mis?)adventures on his quest to complete his love match. i recommend this book most highly to everyone interested in love, humor, sinatra/ratpack, Princess Bride( a wonderful movie check it out), When Harry Met Sally, Casablanca, or if they are just in the mood for a good solid yet humorous read. Pick up this book! a must for every shelf.
Rating: Summary: Stellar comedy about True Love! Review: Though a sizable read, I tore through A Singular Moment in one day, finding myself unable to pull away from the realistic, endearing characters and their humorous misadventures. In the vein of The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally, this book is both comedy and romance, as the main character is on a quest for true love. Not to mention, the author casts Sinatra as God, and throws in Dean Martin and Sir Lancelot for good measure! This book was great! Buy it, read it, love it!
