Summary: A tough choice to make...
Review: I couldn't put it down! A fast, enjoyable read. The story of Vanessa as a child of divorce really gripped my heartstrings. It was so interesting to see the story from the painful perspective of a little girl who spends her childhood trying to please each of her divorced parents, and sacrifices her own happiness. She then grows up to find herself living out the same pattern. Should she stay in an unhappy marriage to protect her son from a childhood similar to hers or should she persue her own happiness.
The story is written in such a way that the reader becomes completely involved in this moral dilemma, and forces you to think about your own choices in life. We've all been faced with them, should we go for the choice that's most convenient,or the one that may please others , or the one that may make us happiest but be the most disruptive for those around us. Definitely read this book and find out the path she chooses and compare it to the one you would...

Summary: A reality check for married couples.
Review: Of all the articles and reports that I've read, this book certainly emphasized the questions and issues that many people never think about when it comes to marriage. What happens when the going gets tough? Having expectations that may never be realized, except your marriage for what it is, or look out for yourself and make whatever changes you feel are right for you, without considering the effects it will have on the people around you?
One thing that certainly grabbed my attention was the title of the book. Vows of Integrity, not many couples give these three little words much thought after the wedding day. Yet these three little words are the words that keep your marriage together and remind you of what is truly right and wrong.
Vanessa Morgan had a decision to make in her own marriage, a decision that many married couples make. Her past experience with her own parents' divorce and the ill effects it had on her as both a child and an adult is what she based her decision on.

She knew without a doubt that she would never place her own child in that dark place. Vanessa entered her marriage believing it was forever. The story leads you on a path that for many, only your own integrity will help you make the right decision.
One can easily place themselves in many of the characters throughout the story and make decisions that you feel would be right.
I highly recommend this book for all married couples to read. If every couple that reads this book realizes that a marriage is something that requires not only integrity, but also mutual respect and understanding, not only for ones partner but also for oneself.
I cannot help but wonder, of all the marriages that went well or failed? Would the outcome be different if they only read this book?
An excellent book from start to finish!
