Summary: Gilbert Morris' best series yet.
Review: Riches Untold is the first book in the Chronicles of the Golden Frontier series with new author J.Landon Ferguson. This Christian novel contains wonderful historical facts and events about one of the most colorful events in American History (the gold and silver boomtown days). The characters are great and very believable. I can't wait for book #2.

Summary: Shows the Strength of a Woman
Review: Starting during the Civil War, 'Riches Untold' tells the story of Jennifer Hamilton a girl looking for love and adventure. After her father was killed during the battle of Fredericksburg, Jennifer hates the Union. One day Jennifer literally runs into Drake DeSpain, a union soldier. Even though he's a union soldier, Jennifer is taken with him and him with her. In order to be married they have to elope because of Jennifer's mother.

Soon Drake returns to the war and years pass. But soon the war ends and Drake returns and Jennifer hopes things will change. Well Drake goes through many jobs and swindles away his small paychecks. They had two children, a boy, named Grant, and a girl, named Abby. Abby took on her father's spirit and Grant took on his mother's calmness. Drake finally keeps a job, where he ends up getting in trouble, and put in jail. Once Drake is put in jail Jennifer has to move out of her small house and into her mother's house. Soon tragedy strikes and Jennifer must get a job. In the end she ends up working for the 'Picayune' a newspaper in New Orleans. She starts from the bottom and works her way up

I really enjoyed this book. I believe this book shows the strength of a woman when she wants to get something done. This books shows how a woman can be independent and still get things done. I strongly recommend this book.
