Summary: 15 times
Review: 15 Times--that's how many times the phrase "muttered an oath" was used in this book. I should learn not to read Amazon reviews BEFORE I read a book--that called my attention to that phrase, and I couldn't get it out of my head. I think I basically finished the book just because I wanted to see how many times that phrase was used, and in answer to Out Of My Mind's question--it was 15 times! I agree with the editing--the author needs new editors! I too could see where she was going with this, and who the killer was, early on, but there were a few twists that I didn't see. All in all it was an ok book--a quick summer read, but nothing more serious than that.

Summary: Intrigue in the Big Easy
Review: As a child, writer Anna North was the victim of a terrible crime. She has changed her name and moved to New Orleans to put the past behind her but, 23 years later, the nightmare begins again. Someone has not only discovered her real identity, but is sending chilling threats to her and her friends. When red-haired women bearing a striking resemblance to Anna start getting killed on the streets of her French Quarter neighborhood, she has little doubt that she could be next. As the campaign of terror against her heats up, it becomes increasingly hard for her to know whom to trust. Quentin Malone is a homicide detective who doesn't quite seem to buy her story at first. His partner has been exhibiting some bizarre behavior and argued with the first redheaded victim the night she was killed. Then there is Dr. Ben Walker, who not only wants to counsel Anna on a professional level but wants a more personal relationship with her. Even Anna's sweet and gentle neighbors whom she has known for years come under suspicion. I would have read this through to the end for the richly wrought images of French Quarter New Orleans alone, but the story is clever and compelling enough to merit sitting up late to finish.

Summary: Great Book
Review: Bone Cold was a great book. It really kept my attention. The main character in the book, Anna North, went through a lot and while reading the book it made me feel as though I was going through the same things that she was. The book was extremely interesting and full of excitment. I recommend Bone Cold to anyone if they like thriller books or not.

Summary: What a ride!!
Review: Great book!! This is my second Erica Spindler book (First one was "In Silence". Very pleased with the amount of suspense. Characters were believable and intensity just picked up chapter after chapter. I am moving onto "Shocking Pink".

Summary: Great book
Review: I could not put this book I had become a Erica Spindler fan when I read Shocking Pink and I thought that book was good this book was EXCELLENT! Every time I thought I know who did I was wrong and then when I got close to the end and I discovered who really did I was shocked. I was riveted to this book from the first page and I will not spoil it for someone who has not read it but I can honestly say that this book is worth it.

Erica Spindler outdid herself in this book and I recommand it to anyone who has a pulse you will love it literally has you on the edge of you sit when you are reading certain sections.

Summary: Good but not Great
Review: I've been a fan of ms Spindler since she came out with Red, shocking Pink and Forbidden Fruit. Her last efforts Cause of Alarm and this one Bone Cold did not live up to my expectations. This is a story of Anna. anna was kidnapped 23 years ago and the man that kidnapped her cut off her pinkie finger. She got away but has lived in fear since. Now 23 years later someone is out to get her. She believes it is the madman that had her so long ago. This story just does not make sense. You kind of figure out who the bad guy is but the writer is trying so hard to keep you guessing with too far out ideas. The positive the book is entertaining if you don't tear it apart like I just did. If you haven't read any Spindler books. I highly recommend Red and Shocking pink before you read this one.

Summary: Gripping and supsenseful - Cold to the bone!
Review: Kidnapped and tortured as a famous couples's only child, she escaped and became determined to never let the monster find her. Assuming another name, she becomes an aspiring suspense novelist. Her life was going well, until somehow, her true identity becomes known. Now her publisher wants to use her name as a publicity campaign. A madman is sending her threatening letters and even momento's of the women he is killing. All of them look vaguely like her. If that weren't enough, she is also being pursued by a policeman and a shrink. Who do you think she will end up with? Uh, Uh.... You have to read the book. I loved this book because it kept me guessing right up to the very end. With all the twist and turns, you will truly love the ride. Be prepared to want to read 24/7 because you will not want to put it down until you find out what is going to happen. Well done,Erica!

Summary: Not the horror book it was purported to be, but...
Review: Not the horror book it was purported to be, but solid nonetheless. It was an engrossing read, told in the present, about a young woman writer living in New Orleans who has changed her name and is hiding from a man who kidnapped and cut off her finger 23 years ago. She escaped and now lives in fear of this man, assuming a somewhat normal existence(under the circumstances) until her past comes back to "finish the job". I found the story to be very professionally written. Although I completely agree with the other reviewers on the ad nauseum usage of phrases "tipping her chin" and "muttering an oath", I think most of the blame here needs to be put upon the editor. I definitely would not classify this book as horror, as the cover might lead one to believe; it is more like a light thriller couched in a love story. Erica Spindler is very adept. She obviously can write an attention-keeping book. I'd love to see true horror from her, but this coming from a romance background, this was an excellent step in that direction.
