Summary: SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
Review: Before reading this book I read Carl Weber's Baby Momma Drama. Unfortunately for Mary B. Morrison, Carl Weber was a tough act to follow. This story was just okay. I can't say that it is something I will remember reading. The writing style seemed really juvenile and basic. Even the sex scenes left much to be desired. I didn't feel like there was any passion behind the writing, just someone telling a story. It also seemed to jump around a bit. It didn't flow as smoothly as it could have. When a book is really good you hate to see it come to an end. I was okay with this book ending. In fact, I encouraged it to end.

Summary: If only Amazon would let me give zero stars...
Review: By the time I reached page 22, I had thrown this book down in disgust. Between the incredibly poor character development (including "soul mates" who can barely communicate with each other), the improbable (to be kind) plot, and not least of all, the random meaninglessly italicized phrases (starting on page 1 - "the cool 'fall' night breeze [???????]"), this was one of the dumbest, worst written books I have EVER encountered.

This book was almost as bad, if not worse, than those by Rosalyn McMillan, which are incredibly similar, down to the unnecessarily raunchy sex scenes, which seem to pop up out of nowhere.

Even though I reluctantly admit skimming through to the end to find out what happened, I beg you - PLEASE, don't waste a moment of your life or your hard earned money on this drivel. I'm surely sorry I did!!!

Summary: HOT, SEXY, and LOTS OF DRAMA!
Review: I don't know why this book got so many bad reviews, but I was captivated from the first page. Meet Jada a.k.a. Diamond. She is a very succesful photographer, has lot of money, she is very beautiful and men just seem to fall at her feet, but one thing is missing is her life, and that is a soulmate to share everything with. Then we are introduced to Wellington Jones, a bald-headed, sexy (...) man that could have his pick of women and then some, not to mention he is a millionare. From the first night that they meet, Wellington and Jada are both in love. Almost a year later, Jada is Wellington's fiancee and this is where things start to go downhill, Wellington's adoptive mom Cynthia will do anything to keep Wellington from marrying Jada, becuase she feels that JAda is not "good enough". I won't reveal anything else because I will spoil the reast of the surprises in the story. This book is a must READ,(...)

Summary: Great Book
Review: I had mixed emotions about reading this book - But I am so glad that I did. It was fantastic. The characters were so real and earthy. The plot was quite unique. I am glad that when I read it - the sequel was sitting on my nightstand waiting! Keep up the good work Ms. Morrison!

Summary: Has LOTS of potential!!
Review: I read Mary B.'s Soul Mates Dissipate and thought it was great at first. Jada was beautiful, wealthy, etc. After turning down several proposals, she finally finds her "soul mate." Unfortunately, Wellington, was obviously not her real soul mate.

Jada and Wellington could barely communicate, let alone be soul mates. And, you never really find out why they are in love. One moment he is giving her flowers, and the next they're having sex on the beach. She hadn't known the guy but two weeks, and he hadn't even called during those weeks!

Jada is too perfect--Gucci this and Prada this. They probably couldn't keep stock in the store after this book came out. No one is that perfect.

I like that Jada is confident that she is in love, but again, she has a funny way of showing it. She claims that she's got it going on and that she knows when something is wrong, but she can't even sense when another woman is creeping up on her man. Melanie is the 36-24-whatever hoochie that belongs the the "Right" faminly as Wellington's mother puts it. Jada ends up having this NASTY threesome with Wellington and Melanie. Now how could you share your soul mate with just ANY ole body??

The sex scenes were really raunchy. It's all about chocolate thighs and sensuous lips and ughhh, just nasty. If you like hardcore porn, get some Zane in your life. That'll keep ya interested.

This book confuses love with sex. I think that it is ridiculous that she even got published. Some of writing is childish and elementary.

I only feel bad because the book had SOOOO much potential. I just wish there was more romance and that Jada wasn't so superficial. She was always in that mirror!

I just didn't see the love in this book. Where is the LOVE, y'all?

Summary: WOW!!!
Review: I really didn't know what to expect from this novel. After reading some of the reviews, I had mixed feelings. But I have to admit that those feelings disappered after the first page.

This book is about Jada, a thirty something business women, that gets engaged to Wellington, her boyfriend of almost a year. They believe that they are soul mates, but there are different situations that occur thoughout the whole novel that make them question that belief. I won't tell you the whole story, but Melanie, Wellington's godsister, is a house guest at Wellingtons house. This girl has some serious issues that will have you up at night shaking your head. She ends up coming in between Wellington and Jada.

I enjoyed this book to the fullest. I cannot wait until the sequel comes out because Mary Morrison left us hanging at the end of the book. I seriously suggest this book for anyone who loves the drama and hot and heavy love scenes. This is a great book that somewhat deals with reality ( I couldn't believe what Jada did when she was drunk)

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I read alot of books, and I think this one measures up to some of the best. Highly recommended.

Summary: An exiting read for those who love erotic sex scenes
Review: The catchy title made me buy this book but I was disappointed after the first couple chapters. The characters are too beautiful and rich to be real and the plot too is unbelievable.

I really wanted to see the relationship between Jada and Wellington expand beyond the cliches that we are used to reading about contemporary successful black couples but Mary B. Morrison just did not deliver. Jada came off as being desperate and childish and Wellington came across as being a typical black male who cannot resist raunchy sex with another woman (Melanie), thereby breaking his woman's heart. In many ways this book was a ghetto fabulous read but for the serious reader, its appeal is minimal.

In the end, we are left to wonder if Jada and Wellington will get together again but if the sequel is anything like its Soul Mates Dissipate I will not read it.

Summary: One of my all time favorites
Review: This book is an excellent and quick read. It was my first time reading a novel by Mary B. Morrison and was not at all disappointed. Her writing, description of the characters and scenarios are amazingly vivid as if you are there.

Summary: A Tad Unbelievable
Review: This book was an interesting read, however I found it unrealistic and unbelivable and irritating at best. The two characters were imo not soul mates whatsoever. If ever I character I disliked in a book, it was this guy Wellington. Being written as all that, didn't convince me that he was. He wasn't! As for Jada I wondered, after the huge mistake she made, I wondered what kept her thinking about this man. It bothered me to read her confusion about this relationship. (...) I was disappointed in the woman she thought she needed to be, the one that thought Wellington was worth the time of day.
