Summary: Another Hendrix Prize
Review: A little modern witchcraft gone awry on one side, a lot of stubborn determination on the other, and a man caught between the two, Mason Alexander finds himself in a situation that yields a different ending than what he had in mind. He hires the pretty gardener for two weeks to pretend she is under the spell of a love potion and in love with him to teach his mother and sister, the resident witches, a lesson meant to keep them out of his personal life. The pretty young gardener opens his eyes to the world around him and he falls in love with her, as she does with him. But their agreement for a two-week appearances-only affair turns into a real test of the power of love.

Do NOT miss this one. This charming story, told by a very talented story teller, will keep you awake nights. It is fresh, funny and enchanting. And don't miss Lisa Hendrix other prize, "To Marry an Irish Rogue". Just as fresh, funny and enchanting.

One to enjoy!

Summary: A fun contemporary fantasy romance
Review: By the time his father died, the family business, Alexander Industries, was nearly insolvent. To avoid bankruptcy, Mason Alexander decides to marry money. He chooses to merge with Caroline Wickersham. In exchange for her financing, she gains entrance into the elite of Seattle high society.

Mason's sister and mother want Caroline and him to love each other. Being practicing witches, they concoct a love potion. They spice some ice tea, but instead of Caroline drinking the brew, the gardener, Raine Hobart sips the elixir. The two Alexander witches desperately need to reverse their error, but must wait two weeks for the proper moon face to succeed. Meanwhile, Mason and Raine fall in love, but when he learns that she leads the opposition to a neighborhood construction project, he feels betrayed by her.

Highly regarded historical romance writer Lisa Hendrix demonstrates her width of talent by successfully stepping into the contemporary sub-genre with a warm novel. The story line is humorous as the various relationships propel the tale forward. The lead characters are an enticing pair and the two witches provide jocularity to the brew. Though Caroline comes across as a bit too harsh, readers will feel that Ms. Hendrix has RAZZLE DAZZLEd them with an amusing tale.

Summary: a direct quote...
Review: Finally! A romance novel with some meat! I appreciate how the author uses expanded vocabulary and doesn't assume that since we are reading romance that we must all be uneducated housewives. Bravo, to one willing to keep romance fun. Hey, smart girls are sexy, too. Intrigued by an earlier review, I re-read the book to see if I had been too dazzled by this book to notice that it was "overwritten". I challenge anyone to name the page on which that quote was found. It isn't there.

Congratulations, Ms. Hendrix. You seem like the kind of person I would like to have as a friend.

Summary: THIS BOOK WILL DAZZLE YOU!!
Review: If you want to forget the outside world for a few hours, and just have sheer fun, this is the book for you! It is a mixture of zanniness, humor, witchcraft, and lots of romance! I loved the secondary characters, especially Mason's busybody (and sometimes witch) mother and sister! The two of them concoct a magical potion for Mason to drink, making him fall in "love" with Caro, his rich, competitor's daughter......however, Raine Hobart, a landscape artist, drank it instead!! Mason talked Raine into teaching his mother a lesson, by pretending to fall in love with him! It didn't take long for her to realize, she DID love him..........was it the magic potion working, or fate ? I highly recommend this book.........it's a one-sitting read....the pages will just fly by!! The author is a definite "automatic buy".............have fun with this one!

Summary: A fun contemporary fantasy romance
Review: Readers will fall under Hendrix' magical spell as she weaves this appealing story. Well-drawn secondary characters add to the charm and to the overall enjoyment of a book readers will be sorry to see end.

Although known for her American historicals, Lisa Hendrix makes the transition into contemporary romance smoothly. RAZZLE DAZZLE is a delightful, sexy, story with enough humor and passion to keep even the most discerning reader satisfied. With endearing characters and lively repartee in the tradition of Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Hendrix is a bright new voice in contemporary romance. Reading should always be this much fun. RAZZLE DAZZLE is a keeper in every sense of the word.

Summary: Over-written, but enjoyable by the end...
Review: This book put me in such a good mood, I'm still smiling. I'm also recommending it to all my friends, and to my sister, who works in a mall bookstore. The characters are so sweet, and well-written, I miss them now that I've finished reading about them. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. I hope Lisa Hendrix is a fast writer.
