Summary: Fast Paced Romance
Review: After her husband dies and leaves her with nothing, Tamsin MacGreggor is determined to take her two remaining thouroughbreds to California to start a horse ranch. Her plans backfire while in Colorado when her horses are stolen.

Determined to steal her horses back, Tamsin sneaks into the barn of the local horse trader and finds a dead man. Now she is running for her life, blamed for a murder she did not commit.

Ash Morgan only plans to retrieve the outlaw and collect his bounty, but Tamsin proves harder to catch than her had anticipated. After escaping from him twice, Ash is bound and determined that Tamsin not get away again.

But doubts begin to cloud Ash's judgement. Maybe Tamsin is innocent? As the two fall in love Ash battles his feels for Tamsin and his pledge to do the right thing and uphold the law.

Morgan's Woman is a fast paced romance that sometimes will keep you on the edge of your seats. (or bed in my case) Tamsin and Ash battle Indians, mountain cats, weather, and their own feelings for eachother. Highly recommended.

Summary: Horribly Insipid
Review: I don't usually read romance novels but a friend told me about Judith French, and since then I have been hooked on her. She is a great storyteller and what a tale! This is my favorite of all of her books. Its western setting sets a beautiful background for this story of love. Buy this book!

Summary: A fun book packed with adventure and excitement
Review: I truly enjoyed Morgan's Woman. I have been a long-time fan of Judith E. French, and this book has not disappointed me! Strong heroine...a hero that is ultimately charmed by her...and adventure-packed action in the wilderness! What more could you ask for!

Summary: Breathless Excitement
Review: Morgan's Woman is a heroine full of never-say-die spirit. Tamsin's adventures and love story gives us a powerful image of days when the "Wild West" was no place for a female but Tamsin tames it!

Summary: EASILY ANOTHER WINNER!
Review: Tamsin is a winner - sure picked the wrong man for her first husband - but then don't so many.

Morgan's Woman is such a light, great story but how did she make it clear to Colorado without being accosted. To most men, widows are fair game, even today.

Ash Morgan is more than perturbed when Tamsin gives him the slip, not once but twice. At 36 he should have a higher developed instinct for survival.

Even I got spooked at the practically invisible cougar and its attacks. What happened to the Ute family that drove War-et away? Would have liked to find out that they escaped. Jack Cannon, murderer, rapist, bank robber, got poetic justice.

Couldn't belive Judge Henry Steele was such a block head. He must have known his brother was crooked.

Loved the way Dimitri handled Tamsin's trial and the subsequiences. Great Story with neat twists.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- JUST ANOTHER KEEPER.

Summary: Wonder if we're all reviewing the same book!
Review: Tamsin MacGreggor was wanted - dead or alive - for a [crime] she did not commit and bounty hunter, Ash Morgan, was hot on her trail! His determination to capture her alive was fueled by the fact that he believed her to be the mistress of the outlaw, Jack Cannon. Ash had been after Cannon ever since Cannon had murdered his wife and unborn child many years ago.

Tamsin was running for her life! Sam had stolen her two thoroughbred horses. She had planned to slip into his stables and [take] them back! She found him dead, [wound] in the back. The Judge, Sam's brother, saw Tamsin running from the stables with two horses and claimed she had killed Sam. Tamsin had witnessed Sam and his brother fighting over a woman just a few hours prior. If he was at the stables at this time of night, that proved HE killed his own brother over a female. But since he was the Judge, she knew she could never prove it or get a fair trial.

Okay, I do not think I gave anything away. I believe Readers will easily figure out who the guilty party is, but that is such a small part of the book that it does not matter. Tasmin is a fabulous character who, I am happy to say, is smart and full of guts! No whimpering and stupid heroine here! I thought her to be wonderful! There is more action than it sounds like too. Toss in some renegade Indians, several outlaws, and even some wild animals. Now THAT is guaranteed action! I am proud to recommend this one to Historical Romance lovers everywhere!

Summary: Morgan's Woman
Review: The widowed Tamsin MacGreggor sneaks into a barn to steal back her stolen horses and trips over the body of the man she accused earlier of taking her horses. Unfortunately, the body's brother is the local judge, and even though he's happy to see his brother buried, he's not going to let a horse thief get away with murder. So Tamsin takes to the hills with bounty hunter Ash Morgan on her trail. Tamsin is an airhead with occasional flashes of intelligence and Morgan is the male equivalent. This shallow western has an easily identifiable culprit, no surprises and minimal suspense in a disappointing novel by an established author.

Summary: Actually 3.5 stars.
Review: This is the first book from Judith E. French I have read, and I must say it was pretty good. I found myself getting a little bored at times, but I finished it. It's not a Linda Howard or Johanna Lindsey western, but it's okay.

Summary: Strength in Women
Review: This is the third book of Judith French that I have read. I am becoming quite a fan. I had previously not been a big fan of Romance, but I find Ms. French's work to be sophisticated as well as exciting. Morgan's Woman appears to be typical of her tradition of strong and assertive heroines. I felt as if I was right there with Tamsin in her quest for freedom. I was able to relate it to my own quest for independance in my life as well as finding a love when I least expected or wanted it. For any person who admires strength in their heroines, I highly recommend this book.
