Rating: Summary: A very well done Americana Romance Review: In 1838 the Reinharts immigrate from Germany to Texas. Eleven years later, twenty-year old Toya Reinhart vows to her dying twin sister that she will marry the man intended for Tilly, Peter, even though she loves Rad Wagner. To complicate matters, Toya's best friend Betina Bram loves Peter. As Peter and Toya come closer to the alter, love begins to interfere even though honor remains in its way. Toya and Rad believe a vow is sacred. Betina cherishes her friendship with Toya and would do nothing to destroy it even if it costs her a lifetime of happiness. Peter also will honor his engagement. If the foursome only knew that they all been betrayed from the start, perhaps the correct pairing could finally occur in an honorable manner. The first tale in the "Friends" series is a fervent novel that places the importance of honor high on the list to keep a friendship genuine and alive. The entire ensemble of this book is dazzlingly developed, turning this Americana romance into a pleasurable reading experience that will be relished by sub-genre fans even as they await December's edition (WHERE THE HEART IS by Sheridan Smythe). A TASTE OF HONEY is a sweet tasting appetizer in what appears to have the makings of a fabulous collection. Harriet Klausner
