Summary: The Taming of Lord Whitfield
Review: A delightful Regency set in London when women weren't supposed to be as independent as Miss Lila Appleby. She earned her living by teaching young ladies to behave properly in the ton. Her neighbor, Lord Whitfield, held rollicking parties which annoyed her yet intrigued her strong willed students. Strong characterization and fast paced plot make this a must read.

Review: This is an odd book.. good idea, bad handling.

The story never really comes together and the characters failed to become real for me. Even her name is not right for Regency.. Lila runs a finishing school, her neighbor is a notorious rake and is ruining her business, which is also her main livelihood.. one thing leads to another and she decides that she'll tame him.. of course, she ends up falling in love with him..

The supporting characters are weak.. several elements are just pushed in there to make the book more interesting.. they fail.

Unless you really can't find anything else, forget this one..
