Rating: Summary: Underwhelmed by the Moon Review: I found this book disappionting, especially after having read this author's It Happened In Texas and being totally knocked out by it -- a five star romance for sure -- and after having read the previous online reviews here of this book. I found that this one had all the elements of great romance but they never really came together for me. I was really put off by the heroine's extreme dieting as part of a self-improvement program: it may be a widespread practice in the realworld but the world doesn't need any more bad examples like this and it reduced the heroine's appeal significantly. I was also put off by the minority live-in maid who shared her advice with her employer on how to get lots of action in the romance department: another questionable example that borders on racial stereotyping. The sensitive, blue-collar guy love interest was plenty appealing and had interesting possibilities but he was sketched too superficially to really hook me. This one was worth reading, but nowhere near my standards for a buy-it-and-keeper. Some very good ideas, but they aren't worked out that well. I'll think twice before I buy another by this author without reading it first.
Rating: Summary: Underwhelmed by the Moon Review: I hadn't read any decent romances in awhile. But then I was given this book by a family member. I read it in two nights! Matthew Creed is definitely my idea of a hero. He's handsome, caring and very sexy! Danni does wrestle with her emotions quite a bit but it all ends up for the best in the end. I really felt the full moon was a nice touch. Strange things happen under the full moon, but good things. Darlene Graham is an excellent author with a beautiful gift of language. She is truly talented and I look for more of her work soon.

Rating: Summary: A wonderful tale that will leave readers wanting more! Review: There is something about a full moon that intrigues lovers worldwide; a sensual sense of mysterious magic in the lunar orb that brings out unbridled passion in people. In her latest novel, "Pull Of The Moon," Darlene Graham brings a touch of that magical lunar spell into a delightful story of love and desire. Dr. Danni Goodlove knows all about the power of the moon. As a busy obstetrician, she knows that more babies are delivered during a full moon than any other time of the month. She also knows that a full moon makes people do crazy things-things they would never have normally done if not for the influence of the shining planet. Take herself, for instance. If it hadn't have been for a full moon, she would have never meet Matt Creed. If it hadn't have been for a full moon, she would never have made wild, passionate love to the handsome fireman. And if it hadn't have been for a full moon, she would never be in the situation she faced now. Matt Creed has never met anyone like the fiesty Danni Goodlove. But the moment he kissed her under the harvest moon he knew she was his. When, after a wild night of romantic lunar bliss, he discovers she is carrying his child, he is over the moon with joy. Now, if he could just convince the hesitant lady doctor of his love and devotion. Matt is willing to wait for her for the rest of his life. But when tragedy threatens to take her away, he goes into overdrive to convince Danni that it wasn't just the moon that made him feel this way. Drawing on her own past experience as a Labor/Delivery nurse, Darlene Graham pulls her readers into a delightfully realistic story of love and desire. She also draws heavily on her memories of the heroic efforts and dramatic rescues performed by firemen at the Oklahoma City bombing site to lend an authentic air of emotional credence to her work. "Pull of the Moon" is a wonderful tale that will leave Graham's readers wanting more.
