Summary: Nothing 'same old, same old' about this one!
Review: A unique premise, a satsifying development and conclusion, and beautiful writing--what more could a reader ask for? Ms. Cooper's style will entrance you from page one. The characters are very appealing and multi-dimensional. The deft handling of alternate history will fascinate readers familiar with the time period, but the story functions equally well as an historical romance even if you don't have the background to appreciate the writer's careful and imaginative handling of the historical details. At its heart, this is a beautiful and compelling love story.

Summary: Alternate History Tudor England!
Review: This book is an Alternate History version of Tudor England. Henry VII's first son Arthur did not die and thus became King rather than his brother Henry VIII, who remained the Duke of York. This of course changes things greatly. The hero is Henry VII's younger son, Edmund who also didn't die. The feeling of the Tudor Court with its intrigues is very apparent and pleasing. I enjoyed this book very much.

Katy Cooper takes a little-used era -- Tudor England -- and makes it her own with a deft blending of unforgettable lovers, flawless history, and believable appearances of real-life figures. In an over-crowded field of predicatable novels, PRINCE OF HEARTS stands out as a genuine winner. I can't wait for Ms. Cooper's next book!

Review: This was a very enjoyable book - an easy read. The characters are interesting enough that I would like to see a continuation of this story! This is the first book I've read by this author and I'll be looking for more!!
