Rating: Summary: A Strong-willed Heroine vs. a Determined Hero! Review: Sarah's sister, Jennifer, is about to be married to the perfect guy -- Lance. The only problem is that Lance's brother (and best man) is Sarah's high school sweetheart, who left Sarah after a harsh breakup. Dean is reluctant to return home to the small town he left eight years ago, but he wants to support his brother. Dean also wants to apologize to Sarah for the way in which he broke up with her on the night before her senior prom. Sarah, however, does not want to have *anything* to do with Dean, and she does not mince her words when she tells him so. Dean does not give up, because he regrets his actions, and he realizes that he's never stopped caring for Sarah. Sarah's mother, and her sisters, Jen and Katey, also try to help Dean to win Sarah over. Dean is a determined and loving hero, who is very believable. Sarah is independent and spirited, and the banter between them both is great! The storyline moves along quickly and is very enjoyable. My only complaint is that the plot twist that creates the main conflict is a little predictable, but it does not harm the story. A really memorable scene is Sarah and Dean (complete in their wedding finery) up to their elbows (literally!) helping a cow to give birth. All in all, this "reunion" romance is great -- it tugs on the heartstrings, presents believable and memorable characters, and does not disappoint!
