Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Incredibly predictable, to say the least
Review: This book seemed as though the plot would be interesting and the story entertaining when I read the back cover. True? No, not at all - the story was weak and unbelievable. Do people really talk this way? Maybe a hundred years ago, romantic conversations would flow, or more aptly, NOT flow, as this book suggests, but nowadays, this type of language is basically unheard in conversations. Unless, of course, it is said in a period play or something like that...The characters in this novel were also disappointing. Never before in a romance novel have I read such stereotyped roles attempting to seem normal. As far as I've read, Pickart needs to get out a little and see what the current world is like, because this novel is fake and extremely disappointing.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: It wasn't that great, but i don't hate it; 2.5 stars
Review: this is apparently Pickart's 9th book or something...and it's weak, man. the plot is so incredibly cliche: they meet, they fall in love, he finds out her secret and hates her, they kiss and make up. all's well that ends well? no, not really...
beyond the plot being weak, i had problems with the narration and dialouge. it was corny and predictable, and it seems that sometimes the characters or narrator would just say TOO MUCH of the obvious.
indeed a very mediocre book, but i didn't hate it. although i don't believe that it's worth buying - check it out from your library.
