Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Heartbreaking, as well as, romantic. Review: Kate spent one night in the arms of a man, who she thought was her first love, Charles Remington. When she found out it was really his brother, Jude, she ran away in humilation. Six years later, Charles locates her with the help of a detective and goes after her. In those six years, Kate had married to give her unborn son a name. Harry and Kate ran a newspaper. But the tension between the cattle men and the sheephearders caused war. Harry was murdered by the one of the cattle men and the Sheriff is turning a blind eye. Kate continues the newspaper with the alias of Jonathan Smarte in hopes no one would figure out he was really Kate and come after her too. Old Mrs. Remington had died and left money to any by-blows that may have been conceived from Jude or Charles. Charles meant to do what he planned to do all those years ago and marry Kate. But Jude shows up and is threatening to take his son away from Kate for the money. Legally he can. ***As heartbreaking as it is romantic. Charles is a man I could not help but love. Jude is a man I could not help but pity and hate. Kate is a smart woman who would do anything to protect her son. This one will keep you up late reading.***
