Summary: Urban Drama Dictionary
Review: After reading No More Miss B. Havin by Lydia M. Lacy, I had three words in mind, Urban Drama Dictionary. Bianca Havin is a single well to do accountant in Detroit trying not to repeat her history of men and drama in her life. But being unable to keep her legs close, Bianca's history starts repeating over and over again even after she meets the restaurant owner, Kyle Sinclair.
Kyle was just breaking up from an awful relationship, but its love at first sight when he meets "Miss. B. Havin."
I thought some of Mrs. Lacy's descriptions were delightful like "my queen size boyfriend," which referred to Bianca's very comfortable bed. Sometimes her use of metaphors became outlandish like "so quiet you could hear a mouse fart." As for romance, although we knew Kyle was a good lover because of his "Q" connections, Mrs. Lacy never really "moved" me in that department and I found it a bit crude that the best love scene in the book was ruined by the main character knowingly making love while she had a head cold with a massive runny nose.
Mrs. Lacy addresses issues like suicide, anorexia, Down-Low Brothers, STD's, ménage a trios, backstabbing friends, drugs, baby momma drama, stalking and ghetto bitches in No More Miss B. Havin. My reason for making it to the end of this contemporary work of fiction, of course, was to find out what was going to happen, but I was annoyed by the journey. From the constant tense changes, dialogue set ups, character introductions near the end of the book, syntax and formatting errors, I found No More Miss B. Havin a complicated read, but with plenty of urban dramas to keep me turning the pages.

Summary: A Great Triumph for a First Publication
Review: I really enjoyed reading, No More Miss B. Havin, as it allowed me to appreciate an "Urban" style novel. I felt as the characters were real people as so many of us have grown into adulthood with people just like the ones in her book. Being a native Detroiter, it was great to see a more peaceful side of the city, with characters living their everyday lives without outside violence and incidents, that make living even harder. My hats off to Mrs. Lacy for the work she has done. I am proud to say I am your collegue (DPS worker).

Summary: Great read!
Review: No More Miss B. Havin was a very upbeat and fast-paced book. The storyline was intriguing and it kept my attention throughout the entire story. I loved how Mrs. Lacy included landmarks of the city of Detroit. It was good seeing my city represented in such a positive way. I can't wait to read her next novel!

Summary: No More Miss B. Havin
Review: No More Miss B. Havin was well written. Author Lydia Lacy has really come into the literary world with a bang with with her 1st novel. If you're looking for a good read you have one here.

Bianca Havin is an intelligent, accountant from Detroit Miss B. Havin, not being able to keep her legs closed. That is until she contracts a STD from one of her lovers. Depressed and lonely, but also excited about her new position, and passing her CPA exam she goes out to celebrate and meets the handsome soon to be restaurant owner, & Christian man Kyle Sinclair.

Kyle, just getting over a long, but not healthy relationship, sees Bianca and instantly knows that she is the one that God has sent for him. His boys are telling him that she is not the one laughs thinking that here he goes again about to be played....

Mrs. Lacy addressed a lot of different issues such as baby momma drama, STD's, Down Low Brothers, stalkers, and much more. The novel was a page turner, and once you started you did not want to put it down until you were finished. I look forward to the next book.

Summary: Nice Read
Review: This book was a very easy and fast read. You start and don't want to quit. It's set in urban USA (Detroit,MI). It was funny, serious, and "all that" without getting into any difficult details. Bianca Haven is an up and coming "hood girl" educated and employed, trying to make good. She's true to her friends, at times, even when she shouldn't be. "No More Miss B. Haven" is a diary, a love story and a tale of hardships and friendships. If you want to get a young adult person interested in reading, this could be a starting point. For a first time young author, this book wasn't bad at all. I look forward to the next book.
