Review: Curiosity made me buy this book, and I have never been so appalled and held spell-bound by a book and I do pour over books. It is very vivid and captivating. I don't know if it is real or fiction, but I must commend the writer. It is an excellent master piece. if it is real, then we need focus on the issues raised. Very thought -provocating.

Summary: Unraveling
Review: I had the privilege to read this book in its manuscript form and could not drop it till I got to the end; the suspense as well as the story is truly captivating. It is the story of a typical present-day African family, set in Nigeria and the US and all the challenges they face.It deals with prostitution, female circumcision, the close-knit nature of an African family, etc. The web of the story would entangle you as the story unravels.
Besides reading the manuscript, I bought a copy from iUniverse and have since re-read it. Do get a copy; it is an enjoyable read on the beach, in bed, at work, on the bus, plane, wherever. Just check it out, since I can't give you mine!

Review: I have just read the book written by Eve Ikuenobe-Otaigbe and I must say it blew my mind. It is so surreal! It depicts some real life situation which should be discarded like female mutilation and how choices we make in life affects our lives. It is a brilliant literary work and I truly recommend it to people who want to learn about our struggles both home and abroad. GREAT READ!!!!!

Review: I must commend you greatly, Eve, for the exceptional and thoroughly engaging piece of work that is 'Tangled'. I must confess that it had me turning the pages until the end where I was really disappointed ....as there were no more pages to turn. I was like, "damn!...it's finished?" I was actually expecting to find mention of a sequel in the making, or out there somewhere.
This work embraces all aspects of humanity; from suspense to humour, empathy to sadness, a mixture of emotional conflicts, at least for me. It was not just entertaining, but highly captivating, thoroughly researched and absolutely heart wrenching. It's a must read for everyone. You will not be disappointed, I promise. Great job. Keep it up, Girl!!!

Summary: Tangled..very impressive literary work
Review: If you love thrills and would like to relive your naija days(for those of us who have been out of naja for a while) I recommend you read this hilariously serious novel. I don't want to give anything away but the book took me straight to my beloved lagos.
The author so decriptively detailed our people, character, mannerisms and history with its rich material content. Infact I can't remember reading any book that has so captured my attention with such a gripping story line and delivery. The writers literary presentation made a great impression and I will be reading the novel again for the third time.
I hope there is a follow up to Tangled.....I really wish i could nominate this boook for the pullitzer prize...It's that good.

Summary: Complex, Unique and Fascinating piece of work
Review: Tangled is a complex and compelling story about a variety of uniquely and well developed personalities. This engaging novel draws the reader into the lives of children, women, men and elders and their relationships with each other, coupled by the all too familiar inner dilemma as these characters try to both find themselves and prove themselves simultaneously. The contrast between old world values and the North American contemporary way of being challenges the reader to question and perhaps even reconsider existing preconceived ideals. This book leaves the reader begging for a sequel. Our appetite has been wet and few books are up to the task of satisfying this insatiable hunger.

Review: This book is fantastically interesting. The detail and the descriptions of the struggles and conflicts depicted in this story really hits home. I would characterize it as very well written, true to reality, and a stroke of literacy genius. Once you start reading it you can't stop. I would recommend the book to anyone interested in experiencing the struggle confronted by foreigners, especially Africans in America. Being an American who's never visited Africa, this book transported me to Nigeria to the extent I could smell and breathe the air. I LOVED IT...A MUST HAVE BOOK FOR EVERYONE.
