Rating: Summary: Very good read... Review: Very good book. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I get the feeling that there's room for a sequel. Something unfinished about the very end with the cabbie adjusting his mirror. I would like to know if anyone else wondered why Courtney was in the book and what was it she had to say to Veda? Also, what happened to Deek's cell phone? Remember he had one in the beginning of the book but then later on he walked to the 7-11 to call his partner from the payphone? What year exactly was this in? Anyway, I'm so happy to read a romance/mystery novel with mature, sexy and 40+ y/o characters. I hate reading all those novels about the 20something group...been there and done all that. Excellent book...looking forward to the next novel. Blessings and continued success.
Rating: Summary: Excellent first book Review: When I was back in DC recently, a friend loaned me her copy of "Almost Out Of Love". I am now anxiously awaiting her next book. I am in Negril, Jamaica, right now and have just finished reading this book. I started it on the plane back to Miami from DC but did not have a chance to pick it up again until I got to Jamaica. Boy, am I glad that I waited until I was on vacation to finish it. Renee was such a strong character and I am glad that she used her brain when it came to Deek. And, when Veda got out of jail and her daughter was outside waiting for her, the tears started flowing. When I get home, I am going to buy at least four copies -- one for each of my three sisters and one for a writer girlfriend in Buffalo.Jackie Fletcher
