Summary: Claudette Williams; a definate favorite
Review: Masquerade Waltz is defiinatly one of my favorite books by Clausdette Williams. Lord Waremont is quite irked at his mother for trying to set him up with the unmarried daughter of the Huntly's -a country family not of the ton!! Waremont traded identities with his best friend Leigh Kinnaid. It was to be a huge joke, no body was to get hurt, hell no one was even supposed to find out the truth, but hese things always have a way of coming out, only this time Waremont had fallen in love, not with the Huntly's daughter no, but with their ward, Maxine Tarnover. Maxine is a hot-tempered, bewitching lovely woman, with raven hair and of course an beautiful complexion, didn't everybody!! The original plan was to present themselves to the Huntly's, give a gift from Waremonts mother to the them and be on their way. Unfortunatly a murder has taken place, and Waremont always attracted to intrigue, desides to stay in the little hamlet until it is solved. The only problem was in staying they risked Maxine and Clair, the Huntly's unmarried daughter who Leigh took and interest in, finding out that they lied to them, which of course they do. Will Maxine and Clair forgive them, well of course, but with a murderer in the picture will they live?? Claudette Williams is one of my favorite authors, in fact "Sunday's Child" was the first romance I read and it is definatly my favorite by this author. If your in the mood for a lighthearted, fun and thoroughly enjoyable read try both "Masquerade Waltz" and "Sunday's Child", the only problem will be in finding copies of them.
