Summary: Another Winner by Martha Kirkland
Review: Eugenia Bailey wants to attract the cruel, Lord Cedric Durham, who won 10,000 pounds from her wayward cousin Thaddeus, so she can try to win the money back. For Eugenia has a very unladylike knack for playing and winning at cards. Eugenia also feels that if she wins back the 10,000 she will no longer feel she owes her selfish aunt anything more for raising her after her parents died; leaving her penniless, a fact her aunt never let her forget! So Eugenia goes to visit Mr. Nathaniel Seymour, an infamous "Scoundrel" and asks him to teach her how to attract Lord Dunham. After all, if you want to catch a scoundrel. you need to learn from a scoundrel how to do it! But Eugenia soon realizes that the "scoundrel" she really wants to attract is Nathaniel Seymour himself!

Mr. Nathaniel Seymour is very reluctant to "teach" this spinster schoolteacher how to attract one of the most depraved men in London, especially when it means they have to pretend she is his mistress! After all, who would believe that he, Nathaniel Seymour would be attracted to this plain 26 year old spinster? But as Eugenia is transformed, he starts to think differently, she isn't plain after all, she is not only beautiful but kind and as it turns out, A Very Quick Study! Nathaniel soon has to start worrying about protecting himself and his own heart, from Eugenia's numerous charms!

The first book I read by Martha Kirkland was "The Artful Heir" and is was so good, it made me want to readother books by her. So far "To Catch a Scoundrel" is my favorite. If you can find a copy of this book, read it, you will not be dissapointed!
