Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Romantic Comedy
Review: As a fan of Patricia Knoll's novels, I picked this book up expecting another of her fine romances, and I was not disappointed. Patricia Knoll's characters are always likable, the plots fun, and the romance light-hearted and sweet. Perk Avenue was one of her better efforts. The real surprise for me was Jennifer McKinlay's To Catch A Latte. I had never heard of this author before but I am going to read whatever she writes from now on. The book was laugh-out-loud funny and the author's witty dialogue was perfect for her great characters. After the book was over I kept thinking about Fisher and Annie. This was one of the most enjoyable books I have read this year. I could see Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in the lead roles if they made a movie out of To Catch A Latte. I look forward to the next books from Patricia Knoll and Jennifer McKinlay.

Review: Perk Avenue / To Catch a Latte (Duets, 74)
by Patricia Knoll, Jennifer McKinlay

Perk Avenue by Patricia Knoll:

When rival coffee bar owner Gabe Camden crashes through Lainey Pangburn's window in his Porsche, it's not entirely a surprise. Gabe has stolen her baker, her customers, her peace of mind...and now her livelihood. Impulsively, Lainey decides to work for Gabe until her shop reopens. Now is Gabe's chance to steal one more thing-her heart. Talented Patricia Knoll's PERK AVENUE is as sweet as its heroine's special desserts, with engaging characters.

To Catch a Latte by Jennifer McKinlay:

With her ninth tour of duty as a bridesmaid-and a confrontation with her persistent ex-boyfriend-looming, Annie Talbot takes fate into her own hands and invites Fisher McCoy to be her date for the wedding. He's just rented the apartment above her café, and he's as funny as he is easy on the eyes. But Fisher's also an undercover FBI agent, and Annie's his prime suspect-acting on the sparks flying between them isn't on his agenda. That's fine with Annie, who doesn't believe in marriage...until she gets to know Fisher. Newcomer Jennifer McKinlay's TO CATCH A LATTE is fresh and funny, with memorable characters and snappy byplay.
