Summary: A Good Christian Romance
Review: As CeCe Williams heads out to meet the director of Genesis House community center she is prepared to let him know that he had cost her to lose a much needed real estate commission by missing their first meeting. But she is not prepared for Nate Richardson's immediate meaningful apology and she is definately not prepared for a smile that erased any ill will torwards the man who will be her boss for the next couple of months. CeCe finds herself becoming more involved with Nate and the goings on at Genesis House. Nate admits to himself that he wants CeCe and her young son to remain in his life. But before they can come together he and she must share secrets and ask God to help them heal past hurts and accept this gift of love given to them. AWAKENING MERCY is my first Angela Benson novel and my first Cristian romance and I totally enjoyed it. Ms. Benson's beliefs shine through in this beautiful novel of faith, healing and love. I recommend this book.Vannie(~.~)

Summary: The Power of Forgiveness
Review: But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. --- Matthew 6:15

In Awakening Mercy by Angela Benson, the storyline is a familiar daily occurrence. A young woman, CeCe, engages in premarital sex with her first love. When CeCe discovers she is pregnant, she anticipates marriage and a happy life with the young man in her life. Unfortunately, she finds herself years later a single mom with bitter memories and a hard heart towards men.

Only through circumstances that have been divinely orchestrated, CeCe meets the dashingly handsome Nate. Nate has been wounded himself by a failed marriage. Despite some trepidation, this couple discovers true friendship and a budding romance as they both take the initiative to let God lead their relationship. The true test of a relationship's longevity depends heavily on the couple's crisis management skills. As CeCe's past comes back to haunt her full circle, her struggles cause a strain on the relationship.

Angela Benson magnificently weaves a romantic storyline that embraces the power of forgiveness. The final outcome of this novel will motivate readers to examine their own past disappointments, learn how to forgive and move forward to the life God intended.

Summary: ZZZZZ-ZZZZZzzzzzz
Review: I could barely keep my eyes open. This book was recommended to me. I liked the title, but the story was so long and drawn out. CeCe was just playing games. The charaters didn't seem real. It read more like a Harloquin Romance novel than a true black christian fiction romance. It didn't flow. Sorry. I cannot recommend this read.

Summary: Awakening Mercy
Review: I picked this book up as something to peruse while waiting for child to finish up with library work. With in 30 minutes read 80 pages. Good, clean but stirring 'real life' romance. I enjoyed it very much.

Summary: OUTSTANDING
Review: I read this book this last week-end along with book two. Both caused me to search myself. Awakening Mercy made me search my spirit and think about what anger I would not let go. I felt the pain of Nate and CeCe. This book was a soul searching experience because it made me remember What God has for me is for and when a door closes there is a reason. CeCe had to realize what a caring person she had in Nate. She also like some many of us had to understand she had made herself a victim. Holding on to anger will cause us to see only our side of any situation. We make ourselves victims when we don't want to face our role in what happens to us. I was so happy when CeCe saw the light and heard God's voice. I loved the book and I am looking forward to Book Three...

Summary: ANOTHER WOMAN'S HUSBAND
Review: IF THIS AUTHOR IS A CHRISTIAN, THEN WHY WOULD SHE ENCOURAGE ADULTERY? NATE WAS ANOTHER WOMAN'S HUSBAND EVEN THOUGH HE WAS DIVORCED FROM NAOMI. ADULTERY IS A SIN. BY HIM MARRYING CECE, HE HAS CAUSED HER TO COMMIT ADULTERY TOO. SEE MARK 10:11 AND LUKE 16:18. AND ROMANS 7:1,2,3. THIS LOVE STORY WOULD BE NICE IF ONLY NATE HAD NEVER BEEN MARRIED PRIOR TO MEETING CECE. ALTHOUGH IT WAS ANNOYING THAT SHE OVER DID MOST OF THE SEQUENCES. FOR INSTANCE, IF THEY WENT TO A BASEBALL GAME, SHE SPENT SEVERAL PARAGRAPHS DESCRIBING EVERYTHING! LIKE HOW HE HELD HER HAND AND HOW HE GAZED INTO HER EYES AND HOW DAVID LOVED HIS MASCULINE ARMS PICKING HIM UP, ETC. SO FAR, THERE'S ONLY ONE CHRISTIAN ROMANCE NOVEL THAT I READ THAT WAS SPEAKING THE TRUTH AND THAT BOOK'S CALLED "THAT FAITH, THAT LOVE, THAT TRUST."

Summary: God's Mercies are new every day.
Review: This book is excellent. It shows how God is always there if we acknowledge him. I got so much out of book. I like that Nathan center their relationship around prayer. No matter how hectic things got for them they continue to pray together. Prayer does changes things and a Family that Prays together sure stays together. I am looking forward to hearing more on CeCe and Nathan in the future.

Summary: A Job Well Done!
Review: This was cute, It really shows how christians should date. It shows how communication is the key to everything. Another big thing that some people do is ask God for forgiveness, but we don't forgive our selves.
