Rating: Summary: Romantic Times Review Review: Although a brooding secret service agent pledges to protect the life of THE PRESIDENTS DAUGHTER (4) at all cost, her lively and questioning nature wreaks havoc with his job until an aborted kidnapping forces both of them into hiding. Not only must they rely on each other for safekeeping, but they must also deal with the fervent flames sparking between them. Annette Broadrick cleverly mixes powerful characters and emotional depth with just the right amounts of excitement and romance.
Rating: Summary: Stilted dialogue, story that stretches bounds of belief Review: I love "bodyguard" romances but I didn't enjoy this one. The president's daughter, Ashley, is supposed to be in her early twenties, a college student. At the beginning of the story, she's with her friends, and the way they talk to each other is extremely fake. What 20-something says things like, "I have a hunch he would be all burnished muscle and sinewy strength." This girl had better be a straight-A English major (the author doesn't go into details on the friends). Ashley herself says things like, "Oh, Nick, am I ever glad to see you!" What is she, a damsel in distress from a silent film? And I hope that young people aren't reading this book to get ideas about sexual encounters, because when Nick, the Secret Service agent assigned to Ashley, sleeps with her and realizes that he forgot to use a condom, he hustles her into the shower with him. Oh, taking a shower after going to bed with someone prevents pregnancy? In what universe? And having Nick single-handedly rescue the entire First Family from terrorists - um, I need to read some non-fiction after this. I may never recover.
Rating: Summary: Stilted dialogue, story that stretches bounds of belief Review: Nick Logan is a straight-laced Special Agent assigned to protect the first family, but when an incident occurs and he is assigned to the president's daughter. Ashley Sullivan is the President's intelligent daughter who is sick of her father's public image intruding into her life; this intrusion includes Special Agent Logan. But soon things turn from bad to worse and Nick and Ashley realize that they have only each other they can depend on...can they survive the danger after them ? ...More importantly can they resist the attraction between them that grows stronger with each moment they are together. You will not be able to put it down! Great romance and suspense. Order it today!
