Summary: John Hopkins -a brilliant mind!
Review: I find the concept--and execution of Carlomagno brilliant. The idea of weaving a real person's story into a fictionalized world is the ultimate story-telling.

When I heard that this work was first based on a Native American, who'se history was only known up to a certain point, and that John took his pen and created the plausisble and dramatic outcome, I knew I had to get this book.

Its a must-read for anyone liking stories of Native Americans, pirates, and just a good read. I guess that would be most of us.

Thanks, John, for bringing this tale to full life. When will you have more!

Summary: Carlomagno; A current day Odyssey
Review: Through flashbacks, simultaneous events, reminiscences, narratives by those whose stories have no other witnesses, rumor, and legend, Carlomagno moves toward the single-minded goal of its central character-homecoming and reunion. The structure of this text seems to emphasize that no homecoming is straightforward, and that every homecoming raises complex questions about what has changed and what has remained the same.

A wonderful script of heroism & bravery.
