Rating: 1 stars
Summary: just awful
Review: I was so disappointed in this book! I love Ms LeClaire's writing and have enjoyed every book I've ever read by her - up until now. She's always written very snappy dialogue which aids the growing sexual tension between the hero and heroin. Not this time! The dialogue could only be termed "snappy" in that the hero was constantly belittling the heroine. And she falls in love with him for what reason? Must be because she's lived with her equally belittling father and has matured into a full-blown masochist. I know of two other authors (who shall remain nameless)who have written "heros" devoid of any redeeming qualities. Ms LeClaire's "hero" now joins their ranks. Probably the most offensive thing about the whole book was NOT that the hero was such a jerk - but that the heroine was stupid enough to be grateful for his crumbs of what I guess was supposed to be affection. I like my heroine with an IQ in the double digits and without a doormat attached to her back!

I would probably have given this book 0 in stars, if that had been possible. I can recommend so many of her other books, but this one? Don't bother!
