Review: This is the best novel I've read so far from this talented author. Time travel stories are tricky to handle, but Ms. Hallam does it as well as any writer I've found. You have to read carefully, though, because she sprinkles little details throughout her books that turn out to be very important later on. It takes a really skilled writer to do this. I love her work and love this story of old San Francisco. It may be difficult to find (it was for me!), but it's worth the search.
