Rating: Summary: Madeline Baker does it again Review: "The Spirit Path" is a Historical Romance-meets-the-Present time travel. Madeline Baker weaves this story beautifully! It's about Shadow Hawk, a young Lakota spiritual leader of his People who goes on a vision quest that opens a portal and takes him on a time travel to meet Maggie, the beautiful woman in his dreams. Despite any odds, Shadow Hawk and Maggie discover a shared destiny and will conquer time itself to be together.

Rating: Summary: Wasn't bad! Review: The cover is cheesy, and the story-line seems to be much the same to another one of Maddie's books, Feather In the Wind. I was disappointed in the similarities in the heroes and heroines (both women are authors of romance novels, both indian guys end up staying in the future and choose basically the same career path, etc) but Madeline Baker manages to make it a new, fresh spin on things. It was like she took one story and said, "Aha, but what if I do it like this?" And comes out with something that manages to be something old, new, borrowed, and almost blue. ;) I would have probably given this 5 stars were it not for the fact that I read Feather in the Wind first.Good book tho!

Rating: Summary: A KEEPER! Review: This story was absoutely captivating. I love the historical, Indian Romance stories, but recently been introduced to the wonderful time travel plots. Madeline does a fine job of creating an astonishing and sensual story highlighted with the beautiful folklore of the Indian culture. This book you will begin and not want it to end. You will find yourself racing through time with the characters in the bold pursuit of captivating fantasy.
Rating: Summary: A KEEPER! Review: This was the first time travel romance I had ever read. After reading SPIRIT PATH, I was hooked. I love the western/native american influenced romances, and when a person from the here and now gets a chance to go back and be a part of history, well isn't that a fantasy we all have at one time or another? Ms. Baker writes a wonderful absorbing tale. I read her books any chance I get. Even when she's writing under Amanda Ashley and telling vampire stories (which are also wonderful!) SPIRIT PATH is for any one who has ever dreamed of another place and time. Madeline Baker pays Native America a respectful and beautiful homage and enlightens us to problems still faced today. Cowboys and Indians, supernatural, present day. It's all here.
