Summary: Loved it!
Review: From the moment that I picked up this book, it was hard to put it down. I laughed and became teary-eyed in a few parts of the story with each turn of events. A great read if you can get past the grammatical errors.

Summary: Pure garbage
Review: I enjoyed 'Love So Deep'. The stories of the characters intertwined well. Everyone had their own personal issues and the reader is able to see how each one addresses them and what the effects are. It's interesting to note how although the issues were personal, how many other people were affected by how each person dealt with their own. Kennedy lived a lifetime of denial. Had she had the opportunity, she would have grown tremendously through Legacy's friendship. Her denial and no sense of who she was ultimately became her downfall and I believe this is true of anyone. We can all learn from the focus Jasmine maintained no matter what she faced. There are so many lessons to be learned from Legacy. I applaud the author for addressing the topic of AIDS. There were however, some incorrect facts regarding AIDS. I would encourage people to learn more about it on their own and to be tested. If you don't think you know anyone with HIV, live long enough and you will find out that you do. The proofreading could have been better. The bottom line for me is that it was an enjoyable and thought provoking read. I read it two months ago and the characters are still vivid in my mind. A must read.

Summary: "Awesome Autumn"
Review: I received this book as a birthday gift I had never read or heard of Victor McGlothin before. Little did I know that I was really in for a treat! From the very beginning with good looking Simpson checking himself out in the mirror, I knew this book was going to have big drama in it.

I can relate to and thoroughly enjoyed this book, because it's so real. It teaches (educates you about aids) and preaches (tells you what not to do), it makes you think. It made me feel sad when the different tragedies occurred in the story. I didn't want the story to end the way that it did I wanted more, but Victor McGlothin had his own agenda, and I'm not mad at him!

Summary: INTRIGUING
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book! In "Autumn Leaves", Victor illustrates how individual decisions can result in "community/global" consequences. The book deals with many realistic issues, i.e., love, trust, friendship, AIDS, betrayal, suicide, to name a few. The story line is very entertaining.

God bless you Victor, and may you have continued success!

Summary: A story for anyone who has ever fallen in love
Review: Looking for a relaxing read to take my mind off relationship problems, I nearly randomly chose this novel, and was pleasantly surprised. Victor McGlothin does a wonderful job of working thought-provoking instances into this entertaining story of love and life.
The characters are as real as they come, and I can't imagine that any reader would think that it was impossible to connect with any of them. From the vivid descriptions of both their physical and emotional traits, you get to know each in a way that allows you to empathize with their plights and rejoice in their victories. When a love is torn apart, you are just as angry as the person who has found out they have been cheated on, and almost as hurt. When a promising new relationship develops, you rejoice with both characters and wish them the best. And when a young man struggles with the repercussions of a bad decision, you can't help but hope along with him that he will be able to set things straight.
Universal themes of love, friendship, and consequences of choices touched home to me on several occasions. As I read, I found myself repeatedly rooting for someone dealing with a common, yet troubling issue that threatened to change their life forever. If I had never been in the situation myself, I could think of an acquaintance who had. The suspense of whether or not any given character would have the resolution that I anticipated kept me from putting this down until I had read it cover to cover.
This book manages to provide a touching, emotional story without sacrificing social importance. I laughed, cried, and paused to reflect on my own life. Each character takes you on a journey of self-exploration as they discover what really matters most to them.
I would recommend this book to absolutely everyone. The honest portrayal of the consequences rendered by choices, and of love, betrayal, and second chances pulls on your heartstrings while causing you to think about the choices you make in your own life. This was truly a wonderful read.

Summary: OK
Review: This is the story of Marshall, Legacy, and Kennedy. Marshall is a big time football player, who has to deal with the sucide of a good friend. Legacy is a painter, who's been in love with Kennedy, a long time, but don't think he would have a chance with a lady like her. Kennedy is involved with a guy who's a player, and drugs. What happenend to Kennedy was a totaly shock.

Summary: Love so deep it can kill you...
Review: This was a very entertaining book. I feel that this is an excellent gift for young people to read. Unfortunately, promiscuity is still on a passtime for many and Mr. McGlothin so eloquently showed the results of it.

Kennedy was something else. This young lady had a lot on her plate that dealt with denial. She was running from a past that she wanted nothing to do with. She tried to ignore that she should have made a mad dash from Simpson before her initial involvement. Lastly, she did not know what to do with a good thing.

Marshall was workable. Unfortunately for him he made some mistakes that centered around the loss of his best friend. I liked his girlfriend and how she handled things. I wouldn't mind a spinoff on these two characters in a later book.

Legacy Childs, um, um, um. This man stole my heart. I definitely hope that Mr. Glothin gives us another look at this character. He deserves so much.

I hope you can tell that I enjoyed this book because I did! I look forward to the next project.

God Bless!!

Summary: Second Chances
Review: Victor McGlothin: a tall, dark, handsome man with the "write" words!

Victor's second book, "Autumn Leaves: Love So Deep", describes the real-life, day-to-day drama of the urban culture. Issues involving drugs, relationships, AIDS and college life are addressed in a style that speaks directly to the African-American community. He vividly creates scenes that have kept me on the edge of my seat, savoring and devouring each and every word. Many times throughout the book, I have been overwhelmed with emotion and have found myself nodding in agreement, laughing, becoming angry and sometimes even crying with and for the characters.

"Autumn Leaves" offers its characters second chances and oppotunities to make their lives better. Some of them found out a little too late.

I, too, was given a second chance to meet and talk with Victor and to read both of his books. Don't miss your opportunity to read both of his books! I GUARANTEE you won't want to put them down! I am IMPATIENTLY awaiting the arrival of the third book!

Continue to put God first, Victor, and He will continue to bless you and your future endeavors!

Summary: Autumn Leaves...Love So Deep
Review: When I read the title Autumn Leaves, my perception of what the book was about was totally offbase. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. I like the way the author approached the readers on the subject of AIDS. I think it was a well thought out process. I feel that when the subject of AIDS is approached too straightforward people as well as readers tend to lose interest. Victor wrote a great storyline and then incorporated AIDS into it. I only wish more authors were comfortable addressing such delicate issues. AIDS does not discriminate and it was really different to read a book that says...I AM HIV POSITIVE, but I didn't get it from being gay or using drugs. This book says, be careful with whom you sleep with and always use protection. I actually found myself crying out for the victims in the book. I guess I saw their fate before they actually did. This book sends a very powerful message to its readers. Victor keep up the good work and know Quest For More Bookclub...will support you and your endeavors in any way we possibly can. God Bless, my brother.
