Rating: Summary: The best historical romance I've read in years! Review: THE PAPER MARRIAGE is a terrific story set on the desolate Outer Banks of North Carolina at the turn of the 19th century. Bronwyn Williams brings two resilient individuals together, allowing them, through former heartbreak, to learn to trust and love each other. Captain Powers had lost his heart and his ship, Rose had lost her husband and child, and tiny baby Annie had lost both parents. They manage, through the deceptions and meddling of Aunt Bess Powers, to unite as a loving family. The book has strong supporting characters in Bess and the two old seamen who live with Matthew Powers at Powers Point. I loved the book, the characters, and the setting. I could practically smell the summer sea air while I was reading it. I highly recommend this book.
