Review: For those who think Regency romance is all drawing-room comedy, this book will come as a pleasant surprise. The heroine, Lady Caroline Talcott, faced grave danger as she undertook to deliver an important military missive to London. She stumbled into the estate of the Earl of Davenport, who, impovished through his dead twin brother's profligacy, allowed himself to be hired to accompany her on the trip. The dauntless Caroline and Julian, the gruff reluctant hero, make a very nice couple, but of course it took them almost all the way to figure it out themselves. A solid , entertaining read.
