Summary: Romance+mystery+the supernatural=a fun and exciting read
Review: Kyra Kirtland returns to Park City, Utah, the city she was born in, to work on a restoration project. However, Kyra does not realize that her past has come back to haunt her in Park City. It is here that her biological mother gave her away to save her life from a deadly threat. It is here that she must come to grips with Mac Connor, her former fiance, who dumped her without providing her a good reason. Mac left her, just like her mother had done, to save her life. Mac's former partner blames him for the death of his own fiance and vows to kill Mac's loved ones. So though he loves Kyra, he will destroy that love before allowing any harm to fall to her. ...... Kyra also has to contend with the SILVER SHADOW, a supernatural entity who has vowedl to obtain eternal vengeance on all descendants of Hallie Stern, the individual who killed him. When the last of the "Sterns " is dead, the Shadow will regain his mortality. In the nearby mountain lies the souls of many people and a bitter soul-keeper. As Mac starts an environmental cleanup, it seems doubtful that the love between Kyra and Mac will be enough to survive the SILVER SHADOW. ....... Though a bit uneven due to too many sub-plots, THE SILVER SHADOW is an excellent supernatural romance that grips readers from the very first page to the very last sentence of the book. Kyra is a likable character and readers will embrace Mac even though he is a bit too noble. Sylvie Kurtz brings a freshness that will please fans of the sub-genre. .......Harriet Klausner
