Summary: Wonderful Read
Review: This is a wonderful story exemplifying how our lives can positively impact others and how these relationships affect, and also change, us. The author provides us this experience through the characters in Pelican Watch.

Nicky understands she is free from the burdens of responsibility for others and no longer feels guilty to independently live her own life. Tripp realizes he can actually love another person and not be centered on himself and his heritage. Mac comes to see his strengths after running away from them most of his life because of a teenage tragedy. Cheryl becomes confident that her roots are very important to her happiness and existence. Others too find ways to make their lives more meaningful.

The setting is truly the Deep South. Customs, environment and attitudes all overlap to give the reader a genuine feeling of another time and place, but still, not so very long ago. The story provides interesting and accurate information tied together with an excitement and tempo that keeps one eager to read the next chapter. Sometimes one wished there was more detail and slower transitions. However, the author gets the job done making the book an enjoyable read!

Rose Senehi's has learned her subject well, telling a complimentary story about the natives of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. There is a great deal to learn from these people who lived and matured in this part of our country.

What a great movie this would make!
