Rating: Summary: A wonderful experience! Review: Have you ever been drawn into an antique store by something you saw in the window ... and it seemed familiar? Or when you are in a store that has items from days gone by and knew instinctively, they had stories to tell? Your heart starts to race, your pulse quickens, an excitement floods your being ... what to look at first, what to touch, hoping to be still enough so you can hear its story ... Such is the experience felt when opening "Abegail." As the pages fly by, your pulse begins to quicken, your heart starts to race, you wish you could be inside these wonderful pages and see Abegail for yourself. For this reader ... it was my best day in an antique's shop times a million!
Rating: Summary: Inspirational Review: I have to say that I do not agree with the Reader from NY when it comes to this book. This is one of the only books I have found that both my husband and myself could read and enjoy -- and even discuss! Not only that, my teenage daughter is now reading it, and it opens up a line of communication to her that we've not had in a long time. I found the story and writing to be extremely honest. The author was not trying to impress or dazzle us with her large vocabulary or play on words. She told the story simply and honestly and with a lot of heart -- and love! When my daughter is finished I plan to read it again -- for there is so much to learn in there, so much great advice on life, love, sacrifice and growing up, that I don't want to miss anything! This is an inspiring piece of work, and I feel that I have grown along with the characters of the story -- and that's a remarkable thing to say about a piece of fiction. Thank you!

Rating: Summary: Abegail earns her wings! Review: I loved this book! This is a woman's story that wraps itself tightly around your heart -- a story for every woman, young and old. I just couldn't put it down until I finished it. Not only did it grab my heart, but the morality and lessons learned by all of the characters stayed with me for days. There are more twists and turns to this story -- and the ride lasts all the way to the end -- which really takes you by surprise! Angels come alive in Abegail, and not only does she earn her wings, but I think I did too! Thank you for such a spiritual and morally uplifting book. It's rare to find a book that I can not only recommend to my own mother, but to my young daughter as well!

Rating: Summary: Life Lessons Learned Review: It was one of the most thought provoking books I have ever read! Many life lessons are woven within the mastery of the text, they creep up on you and let you pause, and consider them rather than hitting you over the head, like other works I have read. I for one feel the presence of Abegail, as a spirit of yesterday, today and tomorrow!
Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: Well....I am not a professional reviewer or writer. However, I was expecting something totally different from what I got. I have read stories that were much, much better done than this one. The concept was, however, fantastic--too bad the author couldn't have capitalized better on this idea. I have always been leary of books with no publisher or any other info other than the author's name. I would be willing to bet that this Robin L. Hutton was in high school when the book was written. I don't know why so many people raved about this book.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: What an amazing story, I was completely riveted by the love and hope that captures you and ties you to it even after I was finished reading it. It continues to be a topic of conversation even after experiencing it weeks ago. I highly recomend this to anyone.
Rating: Summary: I wanted to trade places Review: When I first started reading "Abegail" I wasn't sure exactly what the story was about, or if it would appeal to someone my age (after all, my mom loved it). But I found that as I read I couldn't put the book down. There was just enough intrigue in this story to keep me hooked. Reading "Abegail" made we want to trade places with anyone that was around her. You just want to be able to jump right through these pages to feel and see what she is seeing. This is definitely a book that people of all ages would enjoy. I certainly did!
