Rating: Summary: Front Page Story Review: Staff reporter Amber Delaney is determined to find out why one of her best friends committed suicide. She is given the opportunity to write an article on her friend's former employer, "The Sandstone Corporation" and its owner. After Amber starts getting threatening letters, she decides to adhere to the advice of the police and leave town. She takes off to Breezewood, Texas, in search of the undeniably handsome Bodine "Bo" Pemberton, the owner of The Sandstone Corporation. After her car stalls, Amber finds herself stranded on the dirt road leading to the Pemberton Ranch. Bo comes to her aid and becomes suspicious of her intentions when she makes known her familiarity with him.
Bo wanted to get Amber as far away from the ranch as soon as possible. His mother, however, has other plans and hires Amber as their maid. Because of Amber's constant presence, Bo has a hard time not mixing business with pleasure. Will Bo admit his love for her when the truth finally surfaces and the threats become more than Amber can bear?
MAKING PROMISES is a highly engaging romance novel with a little suspense thrown in. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Monkou, and I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. I will be on the lookout for other novels by this author.

Rating: Summary: yummy Review: This was my first book by Ms. Monkou and I must say that i enjoyed it very much. Amber and Bo was something else, this story was laced with excitement, from Amber being undercover housekeeper, and reporter, on to the sick man who was stalking her in the book. Mother Pemberton, Bo's mother was sweet, she genuinely loved Amber, and wanter her to be with her son. Through courage and patience, along with concerned family members helping this couple made this book a great book.
