Rating: Summary: The key to drama Review: Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be intimate with your best friend's husband? And what if you could do this with your friend's blessings? THE KEY PARTY delves into this scenario and many more that unfolds from an erotic game played among a group of long time friends. In THE KEY PARTY, we meet Nikki Reynolds who plans what she thinks is an exciting and exploratory evening for three of her friends and their mates. She invites them to a party where the women throw their house keys into a basket, while the men randomly pick a key and spend the night with the owner of that key. At first everyone is a bit shocked at the idea, but eventually all agree to varying degrees to what promises to be a life changing evening. THE KEY PARTY is laced with spicy sex scenes and packed with gritty human drama. Each character is forced to examine his/her sexuality, morals, values, and relationship. The authors do a good job of depicting each character and the issues that they must overcome to allow themselves to participate in this party. Readers are drawn in from page one with the premise of the party and your interest is maintained as you meet the characters and begin to care about their journeys. THE KEY PARTY is a fun read which ponders many friendship taboos. Reviewed by Diane Marbury of The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers
Rating: Summary: Putting It All On The Line-I Couldn't Put The Book Down Review: I lead a very busy life and it is not often that a novel grabs my attention so much that I read the entire book in less than 24 hours. "The Key Party" is one of those books. This exciting book had me thinking about the characters all day long. The characters in "The Key Party" have it going on to a degree. They are in relationships that are seemingly functional on the outside, they don't have a lot of outside distractions like kids or bills but just scratch below the surface and you will find that each character has a little something to them. They decide to put everything on the line for one night of fun that no one can discuss. This is a very thought provoking book. It's hard to imagine that they would put so much on the line but they obviously felt their friendships would endure whatever happened. The drama in the book is off the hook but not too over the top. The many ups and downs will shock and suprise the readers. I also appreciated how the authors gave such in depth background information on each of the main characters. I loved this book and these authors did a really great job for a debut novel. This is a book that will stimulate discussion among your friends and your mate.

Rating: Summary: Who's Got The Key? Review: Sexually uninhibited Nikki Reynolds has thought of the wildest idea for a party, a Key Party. She sends out invitations to her closest friends, Lynda, twins Renee and Kay and their respected men. The "key" to the party is the women put there house keys in a bowl and at the end of the sexually charged evening, the men grab a key out of the bowl and go to that woman's house for a night of using your imagination. Nikki and Chris have a rock solid marriage, but will their relationship be able to survive this party? Lynda and Rick are married with deep secrets of their own. All I can say is you've got to read this book to find out what happens with these two. It is definitely a twist to their relationship. Renee and Jason have a relationship that is continuously on the rocks. Jason has a secret and Renee is hell bent on trying to find out what it is and help him through his ordeal. Kay and Kevin's relationship is one of much love or so Kay thinks until an incident between Kevin and her twin Renee arises. The Key Party has all couples thinking about the consequences that could arise from such a party. Will friendshipssurvive? Who will go through with it? Can this be for real? This is a fast read with more twist and turns as the book progresses. Ms. Hankerson & Ms. Perryman have put together a good drama filled book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Tracey R.E.A.L. Rating: Summary: Stimulating quick read Review: Talk about a book that keeps you reading, glued to its pages until the very end and you're talking about The Key Party. A super quick read because you simply cannot put this book down. In The Key Party you become acquainted with Nikki, Lynda, Kay and Renee and their 4 men as they explore the possibilities of extending their long term friendship. The reader becomes engrossed in the various stages of their relationships- the 10 year married couple, the engaged couple, the couple who is exclusively dating each other and the other long term married couple. Each is open to the idea of expanding their horizons to work toward a better sex life, thus the idea of the key party. Nikki, the party planner extraordinaire, comes up with this idea. As the book progresses, the relationships of the 4 couples are further exposed to show the bad sides as well. Everything isn't always as it seems on the outside. I will say that the Key Party takes place and by the time the day of the party comes, the reader is torn between wanting it to happen and wanting relationships to stand. If you don't know what a key party is, read this book. If you know what a key party is, read this book for ideas. Each character is reasonably well developed. Something that isn't found too often in "short" books. This leads me to want to request a sequel or at least a continuation to the story. I think the book ended a little too soon. These two authors have done a wonderful job of spinning a tale in a concise manner. The compactness of the book is inviting to the reader, the subject matter is intriguing and compels us to keep on reading. I'm sure that you can find some similarity in one of the characters which makes reading more interesting and gripping. There are several plot twists that make the book riveting. Some of them are predictable but others keep you guessing. I'm sure the authors really have a bright future with their writing.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WAS GREAT Review: The book was excellent from start to finish. At one point I did have to go back to remember which couples were together. The over all book was GREAT! Lisa and Siddeeqah left room for a SEQUEL I feel, b/c the only couple we really got closure to was Nikki and Chris. But I do feel it was just enough information for their first novel. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, LADIES!
Rating: Summary: Open-minded is not just a word! Review: The Key Party is a story that more than represents open-mindedness but it also teaches the golden lesson; don't judge a book by its cover. This is the story of 4 couples that get together on a regular basis in order to have a good time. Nikki, the more risqué of the group, always invites the friends to join in on sexual games in order to satisfy her own zest for living. It was she who got the couples to participate in yet another sexual game called The Key Party. To friends Nikki and Chris, Kay and Kevin, Renee and Jason and Linda and Rick, this party could mean the end or beginning of relationships to that were formed years ago. One night of uninhibited sex with a friend or foe and no one is able to discuss the events of that evening. The party uncovers feelings, emotions, attitudes and lifestyles of all the characters involved. The debut novel for Siddeeqah Perryman and Lisa Nicole Hankerson is definitely a celebrated effort. Although in the beginning, due to the number of characters, it was a little hard to follow the connections. After recognizing the layout of the novel, all the pieces fell into place. It was well thought of concept; one definitely for the creativity record books. The Key Party is a great erotic pager- turner that not only gets your juices flowing but also questions your own morality, sexual inhibitions and open-mindedness. I definitely would like to see additional stories following the lives of the characters. Perhaps book #2 called The Morning After or New Attitudes. L. Shennice Pruitt-Gober
