Summary: GAME OVER!
Review: "SISTER GOT GAME" IS BY FAR ONE OF BEST ROMANCE NOVELS I'VE READ IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, AND THAT'S SAYING A LOT FOR AN AVID READER LIKE MYSELF (READING AN AVERAGE OF THREE BOOKS A WEEK). I HAVE READ A FEW OF MS. ESDAILE'S BOOKS BEFORE AND WAS PLEASED WITH HER WORK, BUT THIS STORY'S CHARACTERS HAD ME CHEERING FOR THEM ALL THE WAY...THIS ONE IS A SLAM DUNK!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Ms. Esdaile, You Go Girl!!!
Review: I loved this book! Having taken a short break from reading romance novels, Sister Got Game was a great reintroduction. I actually found myself laughing out loud or getting teary-eyed throughout this story. The episode in the church of "going to the rail" was hilarious because I could totally identify with Darien's mixed emotions(LOL). The Ferguson family is such a lively bunch it is a shame that their story had to end, but maybe we can get a novella or something out of Arnetta's and Ted's budding romance. So Ms. Esdaile how about little somethin' extra for the fans of the Ferguson clan?

Summary: What a good story
Review: I loved this book. Don't often read romance novels anymore but this was a great story to curl up and enjoy.

Not just fluff, good writing and memorable characters.

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: I was so pleasantly surprised by this book that I had to write my first-ever review on Amazon (although I consult the reviews all the time). This book had characters that jumped off the page, and the author's style of writing is so down-to-earth that I felt like I could hang out with Darien, Arnetta and the whole Ferguson clan. This book gave me the "warm & fuzzies" and I actually read it a second time because I didn't want the story to end. Great job and I can't wait to pick up other titles by this author!

Summary: Fun and fantastic read
Review: Leslie writes romance with such wit and creativity that I couldn't help but enjoy this book. She gives the major and (so-called) minor characters so much life, that you feel as though you know them. I actually cried happy tears with this one. Leslie is one wonderful author!

Summary: Down South Lovin
Review: Mrs. Esdaile put her foot in this book. I like her other books but this one is going down as the best book I've read from her. The chemistry between the main characters were great as was the chemistry between the family. This book brought out a lot of emotions; I laughed, cried, shouted "thats right" to a couple of scenes. I had to take my hat off to her about this one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Sure to be a classic!
Review: This romance novel is funny and so-oo hot. Darien is not your average romance leading lady. She has more than her share of spunk, and needless to say game. I had to put the book down to laugh, to shake my head, and to fan my self when it got too hot. This is cutting edge romance. Leslie Esdaile is a gifted writer and Sister Got Game is sure to be a classic. If you love to read a good novel of any genre then you need to read this one today!

Summary: The game of love...
Review: What is it that causes some people to take drastic measures to maintain a facade of affluence when they are actually so broke they can't afford to pay attention? This is the case with Darien Jackson, public relations expert. At one point in her life, she could afford the finer things, but when she loses her job due to corporate downsizing, her financial outlook is decidedly bleak.

This doesn't deter Darien, though. She maxes out her credit cards, skips a few bills, and plays a game of cat and mouse with her bill collectors, all just to keep up appearances. Things go from bad to worse when the repo man comes looking for her car. With the help of a couple of crafty individuals, she manages to avoid immediate repossession. But when the repo man finally catches up to her, Darien puts on a show worthy of an Oscar. Her act is so convincing that Maxwell Ferguson, the repo man, decides to let her work off her past due car notes as a PR consultant for a family owned business. Little does Darien know, Maxwell is not the repo man, but instead the CEO of Allied States, LLC., his family owned business.

Although his family thinks Maxwell has taken leave of his senses by falling for Darien's story, Maxwell stands firm in his decision to hire Darien. The fact that she is beautiful only cements his decision, although he fights the attraction at first. What will happen when Darien finds out who Maxwell really is? Will Darien's lie backfire? Will their relationship weather the storm?

Every time I pick up a novel by Leslie Esdaile, I know that I will not be disappointed. She is one of the few authors who, in the space of one novel, can make me laugh, cry and reaffirm my faith in the power of true love. Esdaile has truly mastered her ability to create a beautiful, touching love story with characters you can identify with. She also writes in everyday language, something I can relate to, and not the oftentimes stilted, flowery phrases that are so prevalent in so many other romance novels. I can't wait to see what's next for this very talented author.
