Rating: Summary: .....and A Happy New Year!!!! Review: Adonis(Donnie)Cochran, CEO of Cochran Communications is the youngest member of a very succesful family. Angelique(Angel) Deveraux is the youngest and only girl of media giant, The Deveraux Group (TDG). Donnie and Angel have a lot in common, they are even family by marriage, but the bond they truly share is their total distain for one another.
Donnie's first encounter with Angel caused him to dubb her Evilene or his more affectionate "EVIE". I wondered how the battling duo would get to their neutral corners long enough for them to come out kissing. But, in Diva Schuster style, their love not only bloomed but ignited a flame in a few other characters I can't wait to see in the future.
Donnie is young, intelligent, and handsome. Can't beat that combination, except, he is also rich. He knows what he wants and makes it happen. Donnie knows he wants the same kind of love and solid relationship he sees in his family. But, after his marriage proposal is rejected by his long time girlfriend, he is forced to search his heart for what it truly wants. Angelique is finally becoming her own woman. More self assured and confident, she has found her nitche and talent in photography. She is more than the spoiled bratty, and selfish young girl she is labeled. However, she still harbors a secret that has been much of the reason for the attitude that became her crutch. She too, desires the kind of love she is surrounded by but doesn't think she'll ever find.
Although Donnie and Angel feign contempt for each other, they are feeling things neither wants to admit and are fighting their attraction for different reasons. But, it is a friend's Vegas wedding, some extra sips of the bubbly, and the longing and desire they can't control that brings them their destiny in each other. It is Donnie's acceptance, total support and love that help Angel continue toward her transformation. Together they create another link that binds those tall and talented, smart and sexy, fabulous and fine, Deveraux/Cochran's in love and spirit.
Melanie manages to somehow blend important life issues, such as terminal illness, date rape, diabeties, dyslexia, and more, in with the excitement of romance and hope for a love that truly does conquers all. I can't wait to see what lay ahead for Titus and Paris. Fantastic read.
Rating: Summary: Holiday magic... Review: Angelique Devereaux has long been a pain in Donnie Cochran's side. She was such a displeasure to be around that Donnie adopted the nickname Evilene for Angelique. They were very vehement in their dislike for each other, but some very astute people in their lives saw something else simmering beneath the surface.
With a little help from a well-meaning friend and family member, Angelique and Donnie begin to spend more time together outside of family gatherings and begin to get to really know each other. To their surprise, they develop an attraction to each other, even though they think they have both lost their minds and that the feelings won't be reciprocated. During a trip to Las Vegas to attend the wedding of friends of Angelique's, they imbibe a little too much champagne which lands them in an unexpected predicament. Will they make the best of the situation or go back to being sworn enemies?
Is there anything better than good, old-fashioned love and romance? I think not! Even though it doesn't always happen in real life, I'm a sucker for the fairy tale romance and happily ever after endings. Every time I read a novel by Melanie Schuster, my feelings are reaffirmed. Although A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS started off a tad slow, when the pace did pick up, it became another wonderful tale of love and happiness. As long as Ms. Schuster keeps writing, I'll keep reading her books. I'm a fan for life.

Rating: Summary: Worth the Wait and then some!! Review: Finally a man to settle "Miss Mean and Wild Angelique" down. And a woman that didn't fit Mr. Adonis's "grocery list" but offers him everything that needs in love and more.
I am so happy that we finally got to learn more about Angelique (Angel). From the previous novels about their families we saw that a romance between Adonis (Donnie) and Angel was on it's way, but I would have never seen it to be this way. WOW!! I just love these two. Actually I love both families but these two have my heart right now.
If this is your first Schuster novel, it will make you go pick up her previous ones as well look forward to whats to come. If you are a Schuster vet, this one makes you happy, proud and waiting again for the next great one. Which just so happens to come out this April!
Rating: Summary: WORTH THE WAIT!! Review: From the moment Adonis Cochran met Angelique Deveraux in Lucky In Love (Benita and Clay) sparks flew between them. They reminded me of Renee and Andrew (Until The End Of Time) with their constant bickering and smart remarks. I didn't know if I would like Angel at first, she could be hateful and selfish when the rest of her family are so kind. I was glad to find there was a real reason for her bad attitude.
Donnie and Angel compliment one another and as their love develops they turn a spur of the moment action into a marriage destined to endure in the Cochran and Deveraux tradition. I really loved this story as with all of Melanie Schuster's books. It was definitely worth my wait and I was in no way disappointed from start to finish. I look forward to new characters she introduces in this continuing storyline, then I can look forward to a lot of great reading ahead. Keep doing what you do Melanie, we love it.
Rating: Summary: Great, But... Review: I really enjoyed A Merry Little Christmas although I expected more sparks to fly between Donnie and Angel. Ms. Schuster has been preparing us for this union since Lucky in Love and I believed that they were going to have some hot and lusty scenes. I have read every one of her books involving the Cochran/Deveraux families. I can't wait to read the next one. Hopefully, we will finally find out about John.
Rating: Summary: Angelique's Just Desserts Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel by Melanie Schuster. As an avid reader of Ms. Schuster's works, I've been waiting for the character Angelique to get her just desserts. In previous Schuster novels Angelique's character made readers angry enough to scratch her eyeballs out! As it turned out this horrible woman was simply very misunderstood. And so, as the mystery behind Angelique's evil temper unfolded, I read contentedly as she got her "just desserts"...in the form of the yummy Adonis Cochran!
This novel was very well written. Ms. Schuster always seems to teleport her readers into every scene. You feel as if you're a part of the storyline, watching two of your most deserving friends fall in love. The author also gives the reader excellent secondary characters to follow. I am anxiously awaiting Ms. Schuster's next installment! I could read her work all day!!
Rating: Summary: Very Merry Indeed! Review: I want to say thank you for yet another wonderful story! I picked up A Merry Little Christmas on Tuesday and couldn't put it down!
At last Donnie and Angelique have faced their true feelings for each other. What's been obvious to their family and friends, (and your readers!) was the basis for a wonderful story of discovery, perseverance and true love. I was also excited to learn more about the real Angelique. Even though she's been known to stir up her share of trouble and can throw one heck of a tantrum, I knew there had to be something more to her. And you've mastered something so few authors have, the ability to successfully introduce subplots into each story. You've drawn me into the lives of "supporting" characters and left me wanting for more! I can't wait to learn more about Paris and the mysterious Titus!
Thank you!!
Rating: Summary: Wow - finally Review: I was lucky enough to get to read Melanie's first book before it was published. I knew then that she was headed for big things. She has proven it more with each book. Her latest story of Donnie and Angel is wonderful. Her characters draw you in and really involve you in the emotions they are feeling. I can't wait for her next book. But what about A.J.?
Rating: Summary: Worth the wait Review: I've been waiting a very long time for this story. If you have not read any of Ms Schuster book I advised you to start from the beginning to understand this book. Starting with Lucky in Love , Until the End of Time , My One and Only Love , Let It Be Me, and then A Merry Little Christmas . I love Ms Schuster work she is a very great writer. I love how there is always more then one story going on at the same time but it don't take away from the main characters. Keep up the good work Ms. Schuster.
Rating: Summary: Getting Happy Like Christmas! Review: Well, this is my first Melanie Schuster book, but it won't be my last. I have a fondness for the "I can't stand you, but I love you so-oo much story line." And Schuster does an excellent job of taking a classic storyline and instilling it with lots of nuance and flavor. Angel is a complicated character and the relationship between she and Donnie is portrayed with such depth, it is impossible not to root for them. Their journey to love will keep readers captivated from the time they pick up the book until the time they put it down. I can't wait to read more from this author.
