Summary: This isn't romantic suspense...
Review: But it's excellent suspence fiction. Let me put it this way: I was recommended this book because the person who passed it on to me believed it was the height of romantic suspense. But I disagree. There's only enough romance in the book to add a dimension to the story. The story in and of itself is a riveting, can't-put-it-down kind of story, and for that Nora Roberts has earned well her accolades. This title represents my introduction to the world of Nora Roberts, and I find I am in good company. The author has a huge devoted following, and now I understand why. I recommend this interesting read.

Summary: Fantastic book!!!
Review: I couldn't put this book down it was so good. It was such a surprise because by reading the inside cover it doesn't sound at all good. But I gave it a try and I'm glad I did it's definatly become one of my favorites this year. The story comes alive for you!

Summary: A refreshing surprise!
Review: I have to admit, when I read the summary of River's End, I was not impressed. But since I am, and have been, and avid Nora Roberts fan for years now, I decided to give this one a chance. From the opening chapters describing the murder of Olivia's Hollywood-sweetheart mother, and the aftermath of the horror, I was glued. Olivia was four when she went downstairs to find her mother murdered and her father holding the weapon. The dialogue between little Olivia and her family and detectives was an emotional roller-coaster, especially since my daughter is at that age now herself!!
Twenty-plus years later, the story moves to memories and romance and a twisted mystery that left me completely confused, yet widly entertained (and very unproductive since I had a hard time putting this one down for too long.) Noah Brady is an ideal hero who helps drag Olivia out of the bubble her grandparents trapped her in as a child. He is a very strong lead for this story and you will fall in love with him just as I did. The character of Olivia (adult) was a little harder to accept for me, however you will find yourself envious of her strength and independence!
All-together I found the book a great entertaining read and a wonderful way to kill your time in an otherwise productive day!

Summary: ups and downs...
Review: I love the pacific northwest setting, thought I'd love the book. I enjoyed it, but found myself skipping over "filler" periodically. The plot twist and the motive left me scratching my head. Someone commits a brutal act of murder, and then lives the next 20 years with no other outward sign of being the vicious killer he is? No domestic violence, no substance abuse, not so much as a ripple in the calm waters of his self control. You really have to suspend disbelief for this one.

Summary: The River's End by Nora Roberts
Review: I thought this book was great. The story twisted right up until the very end, and of course, I was clueless. A quick and entertaining read!

Summary: Great Characters! Great Plot! Great Location! Great Read!
Review: My first Nora Roberts book - I'm hooked! The rich and detailed rain forest location in Washington State makes for a pleasant change. I felt as if I were walking the trails right along with Livvy and Noah! Livvy, Noah and all the rest are given an in-depth character description which makes them all the more realistic. While Olivia comes across as a difficult character at times, this is obviously due to the trauma she experienced as a child and the over-protective environment she was placed in by her grandparents. Noah has more than great patience in biding his time for her to come around. This was an enjoyable read and comes highly recommended! I can't wait to read all the rest of her books!

Summary: Disappointed
Review: My first Nora Roberts' book....with only be persistent did I complete the book....found it to be very slow paced with an unrealistic storyline...shallow characterization

Summary: Wonderful!!
Review: River's End was an excellent book. I normally don't read mystery novels, but, I have read alot of Nora's, and nobody does them like her. I love the way her characters become a part of you. It's like you are there with them at cetain points in the book. I truly felt for Noah as he tried to climb over Olivia's 1000 foot wall, and I felt her pain and terror as a child and then again as an adult. The ending was such a surprise to me, I held my mouth open for at least a full five minutes! One of Nora's best, definitley!!

Summary: My first Nora and I was hooked
Review: Some may not consider this one of her best, indeed, it isn't listed as a fav anywhere, but it had enough Nora magic to introduce me to the woman and hook me into devouring everything I could there after.

Pacing was good, twists were good and I was right there in Hollywood, the forest, everywhere her characters were. Detail in descirbing the forests got a little bogged down but I waded through it.

I cried at the end - a first for me! ( Until I read her other books)

I wouldn't read this first, if you're just discovering Nora. There are other books that put the awe in awesome. Check those out then come to this one.

Summary: what happened?
Review: This is one of the ONLY books by Nora Roberts I can actually say I didnt like. It was SO dissapointing I got mad everytime I looked at it. This books is about Oliva and Noah... THE END. That is practically what it is. It started off when they were both younger, them meeting when they were older and them meeting YET AGAIN WHEN THEY ARE MATURE. I guessed the story RIGHT from the beginning, and I hardly could ever do that before in any of Nora Robert's books. I hate to say it, but I DONT reccomend this book. It was really waste of time. What happened to the quality work of Ms. Roberts?
