Review: Ellie Peters enjoys her work as a UN interpreter, loves her dog Barnaby, but wishes her sex life was better as she has not had a boyfriend since Brian left for LA and he was a loser. When she reflects on her life she realizes that she has not had a good orgasm since her fiancé Michael Deavers dumped her without explanation seven years ago in DC.

Her mother informs her that she is leaving her cheating husband in Florida and moving in with a beleaguered Ellie in Manhattan. Ellie also learns that Michael is her new boss at the UN. He has never forgotten her and realizes she is his soulmate, but he has commitment issues caused when he was young when his father's business failed. Still in love, will he overcome her hatred of him and his own inability to say I do so that they can share a lasting family relationship or will Michael fail both of them while his beloved watches her parents thirty-five years of marriage collapse?

This is an entertaining chick lit second chance at romance starring a delightful protagonist whose world implodes between the returns of her mother and her former fiancé into all aspects of her life. The amusing story line predominantly provides asides from Ellie as she offers the polite response but turns to the audience with what she is really thinking. Fans also obtain some insight into Michael's feelings, but his electrons battle between love and commitment phobia rather than like the humorous thoughts running through the heroine's mind. Though Michael's issues seem to have weak base, readers will enjoy this love at the United Nations tale.

Review: Ellies life is not going according to plan. She just broke up with her boyfriend and had to find her own place to live, her mother breezed into town after leaving her father because he had an affair, and her ex fiancé, whom she never really got over, is now her new boss at work and the sparks are about to fly.

Body Language is a fun, light, easy read that you will enjoy if you are a fan of chick lit. You will also adore Ellie and get a kick out of her mother and bull dog.

Summary: a total waste
Review: I actually did something with this book that I very seldom do--I threw it away. What a disappointment. It was full of profanity, sex was treated as something casual anybody did with anybody who showed the least interest, and homosexuality and the use of pornography were treated as mildly entertaining jokes. Criswell didn't really research her plot, either, from the looks of it. Just skip this.

Review: I couldn't believe this was a Millie Criswell book. I loved all of her historical novels. But I just can't get into her contemporaries. And this is the the worst of those.

There is no depth to any of these characters. I could never get a handle on what was going on with them. Michael seemed to be a jerk. Ellie I'm not sure exactly what she is.

Friend Becky is a total throwaway. Just there for our heroine to give sage advice to. First Becky was fine. She loved her husband and baby. Then, she was too wimpy to tell him she didn't want to move to Long Island and live next door to her mother-in-law. Then, she was getting a divorce. Little pain showing there.

Also, a big deal was made of the fact that it was against policy for UN workers to date. Michael offered to give up his position if he and Ellie got married. After that, nothing more was mentioned. What did they do? Was it OK for a married couple to work together? He was her boss, after all. Seems to me an epilogue was called for. The book just has an unfinished air about it.

This book was so boring and I really wanted to like it. I like this genre. Jennifer Crusie sends me into fits of laughter. "Body Language" just sent me into fits of yawning. I forced myself to read the whole thing. Not a good sign for a book. It now resides in the garbage can where it justly belongs.

Review: I loved this book! I picked it up because of the adorable cover, but I knew it would be a great read. Anything Criswell does is laugh-out-loud. Sparks flew between Ellie and Michael, the chemistry was sizzling. This really was one fun read and I highly recommend it!

Summary: What happened Millie?
Review: I normally like Millie Criswell's books. They are funny and touching with a great cast of characters--but with that said--this book is one of the worst I've read this year. The only person in the book that I actually liked was Will(Ellie's trainer). Ellie is completely unlikeable and I could muster up no sympathy for her and any of her predicaments. And who knows about Michael...he wasn't even in the book enough to know what his character was about. Ellie's mother and father both were terribly unlikeable and so were her friends.

This book appeared to be written by a teenage boy---all about sex. Now I like the Brava books and enjoy a good hot love scene but this book was sex from beginning to end...and without context--just sex talk between all the characters all the time.

There was no chemistry between Ellie and Michael...she hated him in one chapter and in the next she was in love and wanting to marry him...no build up at all.

This is one book that I would definitely skip--don't waste your time or money.

Review: I've enjoyed this authors previous works, so I was thrilled when I saw a new title. However, I found the story to be inconsistent, (time wise), and the characters dialogue and actions were wooden. The use of calling someone 'love' after almost every sentence was overkill and annoyed me to no end.
