Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Review: At first i didn't think i would like this book but it actually turned out to be okay. The men in this book were a little stupid! They took advantage of a lot of women and they were also very confused and hurt a lot of people. I guess this is a learning experience book for men and women too.
Rating: Summary: I didn't want to let go Review: Before I Let Go is the story of three best friends and the roller coaster they call their lives. Cory is a hardworking brother on his way up the corporate ladder who finds himself falling in love. Only problem is that she's the baby sister of his former fiance. Brendan is an all around nice guy who seems to attract women who take advantage of his kindness. But has the right woman for him been in front of him all the time in his best friend? Nate is the consumate d-o-g. That is until he finds himself catching feelings. But all dogs have their day. Can he handle it when the tables are turned?
This book was an enjoyable read. Great debut and I am looking forward to the sequel.
Rating: Summary: Get a copy of Before I let Go! Review: Excellent story from a Black Man's view! Mr Coleman writes in a through, adult style that leaves the reader very satisfied! This story was not the product of rush-to-please-the-publisher! I enjoyed the bond these 3 friends shared and it was also a pleasant change to see the men of this story having to make carreer decisions. This book is definitely one of the year's best reads for me!
Rating: Summary: Good Reading Review: I liked the characters that he choose for this book. They were almost as if I knew them. The only thing that bothered me was the jumping around from the characters personal stories. Other than that, I would tell people about it and would read more from him.
Rating: Summary: WHO LET THE DOGS OUT????????? Review: LET ME FIRST START BY SAYING THAT THIS BOOK IS WORTH OPENING UP. BUT THE CHARCTERS IN THIS BOOK I HOPE I NEVER RUN INTO ANYONE WHO IS SIMILAR OR LIKE THESE MEN ON MY LOVE CRUSADE!
TRIFILING CORY I DONT UNDERSTAND I WAS VERY UPSET AT HIM WHEN HE STARTED TO DATE HIS EX GIRLFRIEND SISTER! HOW COULD YOU. CORY YOU WERE WALKING ON DANGEROUS WATER! THE SISTER (NINA) SHE REALLY DISAPPOINTED ME I KNOW THEY SAY IN THE D.C. AREA THE RATIO OF MEN TO WOMEN IS 1 TO 10 BUT DID YOU HAVE TO CROSS THE LINES AND SLEEP WITH YA SISTER MAN! SHE GOT WHAT SHE DESERVE.
NASTY NATE HE WAS OUTRAGEOUS! IT IS AMAZING HOW HE PLAYED WITH THOSE WOMEN HEARTS AND HE DID NOT CARE. THEN WHEN HE WAS READY TO OPEN HIS HEART THE MODEL CHIC RIPED IT OUT!
GOOD MAN GONE BAD BRENDAN. HE WAS A GOOD GUY IN THE FIRST COUPLE OF CHAPTERS. BUT SOME HOW HE STARTED MODELING NATE BEHAVIOR.I DONT LIKE HOW HIS SITUATION ENDED IN THE BOOK. HE CRUSHED SOME POOR GIRL HEART BECAUSE HE WANTED TO BE WITH A CHIC WHO LIED TO HIM ABOUT HER PAST. WHY BRENDAN? WHY NOT THE GOOD GIRL? HOW DID YOU END UP WITH THE EX? SHE WAS NOT WORTHY!
THE LAST CHAPTERS I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING MORE.
Rating: Summary: Consequences and repercussions... Review: Sex. Lies. Drama. Sound like the makings of a Jerry Springer show? Not this time. Instead, it's the basis for Darren Coleman's latest release, BEFORE I LET GO.
Cory Dandridge is an up and coming young professional with an MBA, but when it comes to the lessons of love, he is decidedly lacking. When his girlfriend dumps him, he embarks on a roller coaster ride of love interests that even the sanest of persons would avoid like the bubonic plague.
Nathan McCall, or Nate as he is better known, is the ultimate playboy. His mission in life is to bed as many women as possible. It won't be long before Nate comes to the realization that he has played his games one too many times.
Brendan Shue is supposedly the levelheaded, nice one of the group, but his doggish tendencies surface when he finds himself juggling three women at the same time. It's not a pretty scene either, when Brendan's schemes come to a head with each of the women.
If you're a fan of hardcore sex and high drama, then you are sure to enjoy BEFORE I LET GO. There were times when the author managed to keep my eyes glued to the pages, wondering how certain situations would be resolved. But, the more I read, because of the exhausting and excessive amounts of drama, I was just ready for the book to end. Coleman is a very talented writer, and I would love to see him try his hand at writing something of a more serious nature.

Rating: Summary: Good book! Review: The only reason I gave this book 3 stars instead of 4 was because of the grammatical and spelling errors. Other than that, I thought this was a really good book, told from a male point of view. I felt like I received great insight into the way men think and why they do the things they do. I would like to have known a little more background on the characters, like what did Nate do for a living?? Why did Nina act the way she did? I was a little surprised by the ending, good plot twist.
Rating: Summary: Straight Dogs Review: This book just flabergasted me on how men possibly think. I have two sons and I am going to make it my business not to let them act this way. As a Mother, a woman should be embarrassed to think her sons behaves with womanizing ways.
Things got so bad in this book that it let to someone's death. I was so shocked. I do recommend this book but read it with an open mind.
Later....
Rating: Summary: Good Read Review: This book was excellent..lots of action and drama, and for us ladies , love. I recommend this book and wait for the author's next book release. Nice work Mr. Coleman.
Rating: Summary: We Now Know What Men Think About! Review: This book was pretty good. It gave us an insight into what really goes on in a man's head/thoughts. It showed that men and women both play games when it comes to matters of the heart. I was disappointed when Brendan destroyed his relationship with his best friend and surprised as to who he actually ended up with. Nate tried to have his cake and eat it to, and in the end it caught up with him. By the way, what did Nate do for a living??? I realize the book was told from the standpoint of Cory. However, I wanted to read more dialogue between the characters and not so much narration. There was some drama, but it was more towards the end of the book than in the beginning. However, for a first time author, he did a pretty good job.
