Summary: No Plot ~ Waste of Time
Review: "Seduction By Design" is a great, very entertaining, beautifully written novel. I would give 10+ if I could. Please read it, you won't be disappointed

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Romance at its simplest
Review: A Tennesse amusement park is the venue of love for Sandra Brown's latest reprint SEDUCTION BY DESIGN where Hailey Ashton the public relations director attracts Tyler Scott - the reclusive owner of the park. She handles tactfully the taciturn Tyler when his daughter Faith cries over her woes on adolescence - but never did she expected her deluge of emotions over the tenacious Tyler to win her heart. However issues are at hand - what's with her subdued confidence over herself and Ellen - her manipulative sister - Hailey believes it's a doomed romance together....

In this novel, Sandra Brown downplays the drama to give romance at its purest. No high fledged adventures or over the top proposals - SEDUCTION BY DESIGN is romance at its simplest and hence the predictability. Ms. Brown captures the impulse and the courting, the heartaches with her descriptions sublimely. Hailey has to learn to be more trustful of the tenuous relationship; what's more with Faith as a consideration. Seduction by Design may not be as flamboyant as her other novels, but the simplicity is astoundingly appreciated in an entertaining read of love found in serendipity.

Summary: Quick read.
Review: Great for a quick read. I read this on a long flight. Not the best plot in the world but it reminded me of the old Harlequin Romances that I used to read.

Summary: DEFINITELY NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT, BUT SO WHAT?
Review: I am an avid reader of books in all genres, but ROMANTIC FICTION IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES.

I look for a good story with interesting characters that I can relate to. I like to read about all kinds of people with all kinds of personalities, strengths and weaknesses.

I enjoyed Seduction by Design very much.

Tyler Scott is a divorced 38 year old, intelligent, wealthy AND YES, VERY HANDSOME BUSINESSMAN. He is EXTREMELY COCKY, CONFIDENT AND ARROGANT, but I think that those traits were very realistic considering his background. Although Tyler comes on VERY STRONG and is very blunt he is honest, sweet and sensitive as well.

In my opinion he didn't sexually harass Hailey at all. He made it VERY CLEAR that he was attracted to her and wanted to SEDUCE her, but he never FORCED her to do anything she didn't want to, and he certainly NEVER THREATENED HER JOB.

Hailey Ashton is a single 28 year old, intelligent, middle class, attractive career woman. SHE HAS VERY LOW SELF ESTEEM. Hailey is the type of person that has always tried to be responsible and dependable doing what is right and expected of her without much thought about what she wants or needs. She is lonely and feels like she is in a rut. She wants to add some excitement to her life, but doesn't quite know where to start.

I concede that certain parts of this story are dated, it was originally published as a paperback series romance in 1983, but overall I enjoyed it.

The characters seemed very real to me. Tyler was able to recognize Hailey's INNER AND OUTER BEAUTY, and he helped Hailey recognize it herself.

Tyler seduced Hailey on many different levels, and he showed a lot of patience and finesse, that frankly I feel is lacking in a lot of the so-called POLITICALLY CORRECT SENSITIVE HEROES WE SOMETIMES READ ABOUT IN OTHER ROMANTIC FICTION STORIES TODAY.

Hailey and Tyler were both passionate and emotional, and YES IN TRUE ROMANTIC STYLE...PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER.

Summary: Sandra must have needed a new Mercedez
Review: I cannot believe that anyone admits to reading this book, much less liking it. Pure supermarket trash. I made it to page 23.
I see Amazon is advertising used copies for 1 cent plus postage. That about sums it up.

Summary: I don't care what all those other people say
Review: I haven't "read" the book, but I listened to it on Audible.com. I really enjoyed the book, yes, it does seem a bit out dated with the "Atari" comment, but still I like the storyline.

I'm a little insecure like Hailey, so I can relate, but the constant sabatoging of the relationship I put squarly on Hailey's shoulders. Buck up woman, geez! Tyler, on the other hand need to be taken down a peg or two, and Hailey does that at the end.

There were times when I was listening to it that I actually had to catch my breath or I would actually stop what I was doing in anticipation to what was going on, like when she....I won't spoil it for ya! But I literally said "Oh S***" when it happened. LOL

Its a good read. I wouldn't say a "OMG...RUN OUT AND GET THIS BOOK IMMEDIATELY" read, but a "If you get a chance to read it, then do" read.

Summary: TOO MUCH WHINING!
Review: I THINK THE MAIN FEMALE CHARACTER WHINED WAY TOO MUCH ABOUT EVERYTHING. SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS BEING USED AS A BABY SITTER THEN OF COURSE SHE FEELS REALLY INSECURE BECAUSE HER LITTLE SISTER IS PRETTIER THAN HER. BLAH BLAH BLAH!! I DONT THINK HAILEY TRIED TOO HARD TO HELP THE RELATIONSHIP. MAYBE I'M WRONG BUT THAT'S THE IMPRESSION I GOT.
READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO READ.

Summary: Really enjoyed this book
Review: Like many of Sandra Brown's romance novels, this was a fairly quick read - one evening for me.

Hailey Ashton is a mid-30's career woman with a job in an Tennessee Amusement Park dealing with customer relations. Not a success in the dating department, she compares herself to her prettier, yet troubled sister whom she always bails out of trouble. One particular day in the park, an incident brings Hailey unknowingly in direct dealings with the park owner, Tyler Scott. After meeting, he finds her quite attractive and sets out to seduce her, and tells her flat out of his intentions. What follows is an intense seduction that leaves Hailey confused and in love -- with Tyler Scott, and his young daughter.

Another great story by Sandra Brown!

Summary: A Love Story for Today
Review: SEDUCTION BY DESIGN
AUTHOR: Sandra Brown
PUBLISHER: Simon & Schuster
REVIEWED BY: Barbara Rhoades

BOOK REVIEW: Seduction by Design is one more to add to the list of wonderful books written by Sandra Brown. This is, of course, a love story. The "leading lady" is settled in her singular life as a PR executive. Her boss is a "shadow figure" until the day he brings his daughter to the Amusement Park that he owns and where the leading lady works. The two begin a relationship that is very rocky and gets even rockier when the PR executive's sister shows up.

Between the sister and the daughter and their own two very strong personalities, a tale is told of what love is all about and the challenges it faces to become a permanent part of our lives.

Make sure you find time to read this book. It tells a very realistic and touching story.
