Rating: Summary: She's done it again! Review: Maureen Tan got our attention with "Aka Jane" and "Run Jane Run" long before strong female protagonists were popular. How brilliant of Harlequin to invite this author to write a novel for their new Bombshell series. Lacie Reed is not a super hero - but she is a petite, intelligent woman who knows how to use her strengths to the best of her ability. Rather than rush in a room and "beat up" all the bad guys - this woman uses her ability to understand people and her nearly chameleon-like ability to blend into different situations in order to be exposed to information that can be then sent on to the folks in charge. Her photographic memory and her artistic genius and her brains are the tools that she uses to win. I really liked Lacie and her love interest, Anthony Beauprix. And the background of New Orleans with the added spice of little Vietnam opened up parts of the city that I didn't even know existed.
Hurray for Ms. Tan - I can't wait until the next book.
