Summary: An inspirational read
Review: I enjoyed this book. It started off a little slow, but soon I couldn't keep my hands off of it. The story doesn't preach to you, instead it gently offers a suggestion on how to find peace in your relationships. If you feel you are in the same situation, take a look at this book. I guarantee you wont' regret it.

Summary: GOOD BOOK
Review: I found this book to be one of today's better because the love is there and so real and yet the story is written in a very clean fashion . .The love is there and the cleanliness is as well...hats off to this author.

Another great story that I know you will enjoy is Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fiher/ I would also hightly suggest that you read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. ..What a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. "Stolen Moments " which is reminiscent of "Love Story" is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. Like"Love Story" it is about a dying woman who has found true love. Again, for sure it is the love story of the nineties."

Summary: WONDERFUL READ
Review: I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK...RACHEL REMINDED ME OF MYSELF AND A FEW FRIENDS. SHE WANTED SO BADLY TO HAVE THE "PERFECT MAN" AND LIFE, THAT SHE OVERLOOKED WHAT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER...I LOOK FORWARD TO READING MORE BOOKS BY PATRICIA HALEY-BROWN.......

Summary: Should have been more about a Christian relationship.
Review: I was thrilled to see a novel by an African-American, Christian author. The storyline was very real. While dating, many women put an emphasis on surface criteria, instead of looking at the heart of a person. This is what Rachel did and also why she got hurt. I did enjoy the book, however I expected for the story to be about two Christians involved in a Christian relationship. What was presented was a relationship, no different from any other, that can be read about in most any fictional novel, where the only difference was that one party surrendered to God at the end of the story. I never expected for Rachel and Neal to get together. That was good!!!

Summary: I enjoyed this book
Review: It is a pleasure to read a work of fiction from an African American that does not have to use sex or profanity to get their point across. I would like to see an author in the future deal with the issue of single brothers and sisters in the Lord who are sold-out as in comparison with "Big Mama's" lifestyle. There are still some Holy men and women of God waiting for the promises of God. Just a subject that I feel is worth writing about

Summary: This novel was a blessing
Review: It truly emphasized the fact that integrity, character and traditional values are always the best qualities when desiring a spouse. As a Christian, there will be NO COMPROMISE for me! I commend you Ms Haley-Brown and pray for your continued success. God bless!

Summary: Interesting
Review: Nobody's Perfect started off really slow. Initially I was bored, but the spiritual innuendos kept me reading. The last five chapters were the most interesting and exciting. So, if you can get past the initial slow story, you'll be pleased. I applaud Patricia for encouraging spiritual principles in this novel. I was impressed with the central character's willingness to flee temptation, free herself of past mistakes, and to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Summary: Very Good Reading
Review: Nobody's Perfect was a very inspirational book with a good moral, which is summed up in the title - Nobody's Perfect. Rachel was so set on her 12 point checklist that she couldn't see the forest for the trees. Everything that she was looking for in a man was right in front of her except for in the "looks" department. Neal was kind, generous, caring and better to her than she was to herself but he only met 11 points on her list. In Rachel's defense, when you grow up with someone who is like a brother to you, it's hard to see them as anything other than that. They were best friends basically all their lives and she figured that's what friends do; they help each other out. They were practically family. Then there was Ken. Mr. Gorgeous who had some hang-ups. He seemed like "Mr. Perfect" at first but as their relationship deepened, she saw some things that she didn't like which took him down a few notches but she still tried to hold on. As soon as Rachel realized that she wasn't perfect, it was easier for her to accept that nobody is. The story was very realistic portrayal of woman and her struggle with her spiritual side verses her secular side. The only character in the book that seemed unrealistic was Neal. He seemed a little TOO good to be true. I would recommend this book from the teen reader to the elderly. The fact that there was no profanity in the book made it that much more enjoyable.

Summary: No better Time Like The Present
Review: OOOHHH..Patricia you out did your self with this book!!! It was so good that every night I looked forward to reading the next chapters no matter what time is was. I could see myself in Rachel alot in been a very strong independent woman. I have two girls that I'm raising on my own. And looking for that Mr. Right to complete my family has been top priority until I read the last few chapter of your book. Ken, was your typically cope out of a man when thing are going his way. Neal, on the other hand was the type of friend you never find when only to be her God sent. Right now I'm seeing someone that needs some baggage-debriefing and I can't hardly wait to tell me about this book. So..keep up the good spiritual writing and I can't wait for the next book.
